I totally forgot we lost Allen. Major dent in this team. He was a good DC.

He was good DC when we won but a bad one when we lost .... The usual message board shtick.

or having this defense sliced and diced against FSU as well last season.

Yeah, he would never allow Cook to singled handedly beat us! Oh wait......

Selective memory about how good we were in the past under Allen.  Typical message board shtick.

Let's not forget Navy or how would we would let Rutgers And everyone else run all over us under Leavitt.

We have a fast defense which struggles against stuffing the run but we need to tackle.

It wasn't just the d that whole team and coaching staff got "Rick rolled" and had no idea how to handle the situation. The d couldn't stop anyone and o couldn't move the ball. And the coaches couldn't adjust to get guys in the right position to be effective

USF hasn't allowed 55 points since the Sun Bowl in 07 or EVER if you're talking about regular season. How does the defense look so terrible after already seeing the same FSU run strategy a year ago? Coach Woodie is way over his head and is unfortunately still learning on the job. The offensive play calling was also still too conservative from Coach T. Reminded me of the game against Memphis last year. No adjustments whatsoever. I was hoping he was saving the creative plays for the second half.

I believe some awesomely astute poster pointed to that game, the similarities and concerns ...

Except that was a week of activities, experiences (for the kids) and post season fun.

Excuses. That wasn't our first bowl. We just went up against a more talented team with a chip on their shoulder and, more often than not, that's how things play out.

Not an excuse. If you went, you saw it. Same at Meineke (our first bowl).  They went to racetrack and pep rallies. When does that happen during regular season? If you ever talked to Jim L you'd know he didn't treat bowl games with as much importance as some fans do.

our defense was horrible in every matter

we looked small/slow and weak

we are not a p5 talented team for sure

offensively we went into a shell instead of continuing to play aggressively.

There are run blitzes too but given the way we were physically outmatched up front yesterday I don't think it would've helped. Our guys were on skates all day yesterday and couldn't shed blocks there's not too much you can do with that kind of disparity....

Rational posting not allowed here. Be gone, heathen! :angrymob:

In hindsight we weren't who we said we were?
