Those of us who could see the visible decline in talent and speed that was painfully obvious during Holtz's last season. No matter who we brought in this was going to be a 4 year rebuild. 4 year rebuilds are 3 seasons too long. It's not that hard to win with superior talent to teams like UCONN. We dont want someone here who is just waiting for the next stop. Leavitt was a local product. Skippy's family was here, and Willie is another local product.And that local tie in has been a detriment too. It worked with Leavitt and kept him from leaving for more money several times. Skip shot himself in the foot, so that was never tested. Taggart is an unknown commodity right now. Does it really matter if a coach uses USF as a stepping stone or if he wants to stay for the long haul? If the coach produces a winner, who cares?
