It may be no news, old news but thought was interesting and worthy of the share.....

Was just watching my WatchESPN Roku highlights (WatchESPN:  "Candidates for the South Carolina coaching job"  segment) and low and behold the snippet from the  ESPN "The Paul Finebaum Show"  had the SI analyst  Pete Thamel on the phone and when Lane Kiffin's name came up in topic Thamel said "....the one place were I think Lane could end up in play is South Florida.... they obviously haven't fired Willie Taggart yet...thats thats thats expected. ......".    Basically he went on to say it would be a good fit with the Kiffin family name that has a lot of residents there (?), his name hasn't been thrown out there for any BCS jobs and where he should have started out.

Even if we are looking for a coach at the end of the season, that dude is making just as much as OC at Alabama as we could pay him as a HC here.  Why would he do it?

Not too far fetched Lane wanting USF head coach job, except for the fact that Coach Taggart probably will continue as USF coach.  Lane's wife Layla is a native of Tampa and her brother David is USF's QB coach now.

Even if CWT were to be let go it would be idiotic to go after this guy.   How long do you think he would stay after having a whiff of success?

Some coaches are not cut out to be a head coach. Lane Kiffin is one of them.
