I'm just worried about SMU.  We have to take care of them first.

Fair points Dozer. I do feel better if we need to get to 30 to win though than I did 3 weeks ago.

Yup, I have a feeling Morris is going to game plan to attack Sanchez in the passing game all day long. The defense better be ready because SMU will undoubtedly have a great offensive game plan ready for us.

See, that's my biggest concern about SMU--that junk over the middle. I hope I don't see anymore of that soft-zone coverage stuff again, SMU's QB will pick us apart all game.

I think Uconn going spread in the middle of the game threw our defense off.  I think they're going to specifically game plan for SMU's offense and that will make a big difference in the game.  SMU can't just go "Big"  and run power ball, so the adjustments they'll have to make can be anticipated.  With Uconn.. they had that big offensive line and we still didn't really give up much in the way of points.  I don't think the game will be that high scoring... though I think we'll score between 28-35 points.  I don't see them scoring over 24.

I should footnote this... If we play good defense, we could win going away.  We will grind the clock and spread teams have a problem with that...

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
