Strong with what he has accomplished at Texas is a terrible hire. 

His lack of success at Texas is surprising. 

USF is nothing like Texas. They are the richest program in college football, have had a team for a century, have had national championships and an endless supply of top recruits.  Texas is USFs opposite in every way. The only thing similar right now is we both have failing coaches. Texas will can Strong and pay out 5 million for the best money can buy.

if Holtz's team at USF had a slightly better defense he would still be here. Still, his clock management was horrendous for a coach at this level.
