I was checking in all weekend to see, but it could hurt the team more. Or maybe a playbook with more than 3 plays is needed who knows...

I just don't think another coach comes in and does any better with our guys. I'm shocked it hasn't run its course by now, but I have to think our program is still trying to heal from the loss of their identity. Credit Harlan or Taggart or whoever for realizing the previous direction wasn't going to work. I think this offensive scheme is much better to help that along, but I don't think a new coach will be able to wave a wand and imbue this team with the spirit of its 2007 ancestor. That has to come with experience and gaining confidence by completing the plays as they're drawn up. Sadly, I don't know if that will come in time to save coach's job, but I personally hope it does.

You are probably talking about Leavitt.  But we had lunch the other day with someone who has been close to the program for many, many years.  His theory is that we got up for ND following the loss of LeRoy Selmon.  But, after that, a kind of malaise set in and has affected the program since.  Could understand that with Holtz and the players here at that time.  But almost all of Holtz' players are gone and we have a new coach.  But this is a guy I respect and there may be something to it.

Or we could go with Leavitt putting a curse on the program but I can't see him wishing bad things for his players.  Admin people, maybe; players, no.

I'm checking in to see if anyone is still interested in purchasing my white windbreaker; it's perfect for 100 plus degree weather. :popcorn:Shipping and leftover time outs are free.

Wow, thank you. We can all agree that our signal callers are not good at all.

Correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't a HC need to be able to call plays that he feel are best for the guy running them?
