Last year, we were shorthanded and couldn't really defend the deep ball well enough. I haven't kept up with the roster changes on defense. How do you Bulls feel about this year's depth and our ability to cover passing plays?

And I hope there's some sort of pressure or rush on the D-line this year. If nothing else but for this simple fact, I'm glad that guy's over at ucf...

Oh, it's been one long summer. I'm ready for some USF football!

The secondary should be the strongest unit on the defense. A lot of competition at every position, I think all guys in the secondary are CWT guys except for Jalen Spencer but I haven't heard his name in a while. It will be interesting to see who is starting game 1. I think the only guarantees are Byrd and Fullwood.

Isn't that what the whole change in the defensive scheme was about? Adapting to cover spread teams? We should be fine to answer your question.

Our speed will match up well and should set us apart in the AAC..  I think we will see a huge improvement in defense this year.

Could we try and jam their receivers at the line to throw off their timing routes

Everybody loves the up tempo offense until it stalls and the burden is put on the D.  Our D could be on the field lots this year and much will be asked from them.

So they pretty much prepare for the same formula we've had for the last 3 years...

Act like you’ve been there before. Turns out, for many of us, we haven’t been there before.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
