Where is USF athletics in the other timeline?

Without getting all worked up over all that Leavitt stuff in this timeline, where do you think USF athletics would be right now in the other timeline, the one where things went on normally with Leavitt at the helm?

Here, I'm just trying to figure out of if we were always doomed to this fate (sleeping on the same air mattress with smelly ucf and the rest in a leaky tent), or maybe we could have gone on to a P5 and all of that (sleeping on a soft bed in a big mansion -and building an OCS right now).

In this timeline, are we assuming that the stupid Big East/AAC commissioner signs the deal with ESPN for their TV rights rather than saying no and getting laughed out of the building?

Until someone can legitimately answer the question "Who would we have been chosen over for a P5?", we're exactly where we would be if CJL was still here ... and good luck with getting through this without "all that Leavitt stuff" coming into play. B)

Don't think that matters. Unless there's stuff out there that I'm not aware of, the BE/AAC would have just been a higher paid G5 if the contract had been signed.

I think we're in the same place, except Leavitt wins another 45 games while being wooed by a P5 program. His loyalty keeps him here and thus we stay as the "best available" should a P5 conference expand.

So, yeah, different.

Yes. And CJL would be making a boatload more money if we're able to keep him

So we would have averaged 9 wins a season the last 5 years if CJL was still here ....

At a minimum...I felt if I went higher, you'd ask for a link. :)

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
