  1. When the wife wins, everyone wins. Way to turn a negative into a positive!
  2. I can take all the whining, moaning, and firing talk as long as people still try & support the team (players). If you feel too embarrassed to show up against a rival, imagine how the players will feel with their home field taken from under them. We have little chance of them manning up for UCF if no one is there to motivate them.
  3. We have a bunch of talent, but not really a team. That went away when we lost Flowers & Sanchez. There doesn't seem to be anyone to pull them together...yet. We desperately need someone to emerge.
  4. Before Houston: Maryland entertains hiring Strong After Houston: Strong maybe entertains Maryland (for the backlash) After Tulane: Bulls fans spam-mail/email the Strong family with Maryland brochures. jk, but I knew there would be a meltdown of support after this game. I just see it as year 2 struggles in identity--it was inevitable as it was for xCWT, it's just that CWT's struggles go up-front (here, Oregon, FSU). Strong would have had the same thing, were it not for the strength of his on-field leadership last year. He doesn't have the same advantage this year, so his players are lost right now.
  5. They followed OUR example there, bro. Just maybe stuck to the method better, but don't think for a second they wouldn't have gone full bore after Strong over Frost if they had that opportunity.
  6. He's a defensive-minded HC, but that doesn't mean he's making all the rules for the D. We were exposed at Houston, so everyone now knows how to beat us--credit Tulane for having a great game plan to exploit us to the max. DIScredit us for not figuring better ways to plug the holes, and for giving up even before the half. What looked like a very mentally strong group through the first 5 or 6 games now looks like a group therapy candidate. Clearly now storming for an identity at the worst time in the season...but we'll still get a bowl.
  7. Ugh, was thinking the same thing. Not the first game with adversity, but they better figure out how to turn this around over the next 2 Q's.
  8. +1, their luck will run out. Let's just hope ours starts up, or it won't matter.
  9. Going backwards is really not the point of this game. Someone should bring that up at half.
  10. I know Tulane is no slouch this year, but I'd rather them rest & come back full strength (or really close) for the last 3 games. We'll need all the best to get Ws in Cincy/Temple, and of course the last home game might be tough.
  11. Man I want that kid to get on the field--once he feels out that level, I think he could be special.
  12. but...what if Ford/Cronk go ham, the receivers hold on, the LBs/DBs find some speed & tackling, the DL starts pressuring QBs regularly...and we actually win the last 3? What would happen to the board then?
  13. Game day looks great, just need a win to make this rare fall day even better.
  14. Blue highlights & stars stuff is pretty cool. Nothing adequately explains the throwback mascot on Heupel's cap. Some things should be left buried...
  15. True happiness is...to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future. - Lucius Seneca "Voldemort is my past, present and future." -JK Rowling
  16. Oh...my friend...there are so many differences. But it's easy to utilize talent when you have it in every position, sometimes 2 & 3 deep.
  17. Ford over Mack? Call me rude if you want, but that is the new dumbest thing I've heard on TBP, and this is fresh off the Houston meltdown Not that different of styles from what I can see (shifty/speedy), but Mack can stiff-arm like a boss and would survive our HB dive offense longer IMO.
  18. Jesus doesn't have to do research. He just knows.
  19. ask BB to please, if it's not too much trouble, to give him the **** ball more often.
  20. I'll follow the progress, but I'm just not expecting a major turnaround this season. A few more wins would be nice, and I hope to get out to a couple more games this year & cheer them on. Go Bulls!
  21. This team (or any team for that matter) and my expectations will align at the same time that my employer aligns with my expectations.
