  1. Still no pen to paper...a lot of time for kids to swtich...which we know can happen Wouldn't mind seeing some JUCO kids to help with our lack of experience and depth too
  2. 1.- Asst Coaches- Guys that are innovative and hungry. Since these guys will also help with recruiting they'll need to be familiar with FL and how to really develop these kids. I'm not too concerned about the recruits, I think we'll be able to get those kids we were on the fence, if CWT was getting some decent kids to come to WKU, I'll think it will be easier to get them to stay local and go to USF. With our upgraded facilities and reinvigeration to the program, I'm confident we'll get some solid talent 2.- Depth/Experience- We are going to be real young next year, and we were exposed in a lot of areas this year with former walk-ons and freshman playing. I expect more growing pains and mistakes, hopefuly we can coach and correct before the BE season starts. Our core positions (QB,RB and K) will all be very green, so it will be interesting to see what happens 3.- Fan Expectations- I just hope we don't see too many nay sayers come out of the wood work if we struggle this upcoming season, give CWT a little time
  3. I'll admit, I have a little more pep in my step after this annoucement. I'm anticipating a much more fired up and enthusiastic team next year. As long as I see progress from this year I'll be happy
  4. Confused as to why some people think we were going to go after some big name...wouldn't have some of the other schools looking for coaches go after Petrino, Davis or others? I haven't heard their names, nor were they hired. We are in a sinking conference, have had a couple miserable seasons and a wavering fan base. WT has getting a lot of hype for national outlets as an up and coming coach. This guy has fire and passion, just like our first coach. I say give him a shot, let him build his staff and get some recruites in here before all the critism and bickering
  5. This clown needs to go...this stage is not the place for your borderline racial ignorance. Go somewhere else with this crap. This hire has a lot of promise, more than where we were two weeks ago
  6. Well depends how you read his last couple tweets, but now he is might be throwing some diggs at USF fans...
  7. Pffftt... even teams in the big 5 conference when they suck BAD their fan base doesn't come out. 2 years ago UM is a perfect example. Empty stadium and someone rented a sign on the back of an airplane saying Fire Randy for the USF/UM game...and they won National Championships! Quit acting all mightier than thou and let people express their displeasure in the way they see fit. Its a young fanbase and it will find its way to its median sooner or later. Auburn 2-7 85,214 vs UL Monroe 86,721 vs LSU 85,813 vs Arkansas 85,119 vs Texas A&M 74, 676 vs New Mexico State Kentucky 1-9 48,346 vs Kent State 53,980 vs Western Kentucky 49,810 vs South Carolina 49,498 vs Mississippi State 54,553 vs Georgia 44,902 vs Vanderbilt Illinois 2-7 43,441 vs Western Michigan 45,369 vs Charleston Southern 46,539 vs Louisiana Tech 46, 734 vs Penn State 47,981 vs Indiana Just for comparisons sake. Until the administration establishs themselves as a legit program willing to win and listen to the fan base + communicate instead of playing around this will always happen. What does that even mean? What will always happen ...?? Tampa and a lot of Florida (state wide, not UF) fans are fickle and bandwagon riders...if the fans don't believe the leadership is doing its part to put a winning team out there fans won't show up professional or college. These fans want consistent progress and winning, that's why there was the explosion of fans in '07 and since they haven't done much since it's just so so. The same with the Rays, since most fans don't think they can win the WS they just get the die hards and visiting teams My point is USF hasn't shown to be a consistent product and with DW and other leaders really not addressing the elephanat in the room (besides the "addressing at the end of the season" statement), so some fans and alum aren't ready to dedicate all their Saturdays to gameday
  8. I've watched a lot of football and never seen the victory formation from shot gun The bucs did it today also Must be something in the water

Plus it's Florida fans...they are fickle when it comes to their teams losing or winning (Rays) I'm all for making a statement and showing the AD and staff that as fans you are upset and the best way is not showing up to a game. But hopefully the fans will show up to the last game to show support to the Seniors. I'm looking to book my tickets and get down there.
  11. My biggest concern/frustration is how our coaches prepare our players. Holtz said in his presser that "our QB's don't take snaps from under center very well"...what the hell are you working on during the week of practice than? Isn't practice for prepping and working on the fundamentals that you stink at? Floyd is now being thrown into the fire and if we are trying to cram the gameplan or now develop a gameplan; I have no faith in the next 3 weeks. I can understand the read QB sneaks and some of the other designed runs, but we run the ball pretty well when we do the conventonal runs and the pass plays/patterns should be the same...mabe even better since BJ seemed to struggle with the slants.
  12. I just hope DW doesn't use this an excuse for Holtz....could potentially say the season ended in a bad way and we need to give Skip another shot
  13. I think they have more yards this game on O than we have all season
  14. Has to be ankle...the lack of pressure doesn't look good.
  15. Sporting my first Bulls shirt to day to hopefuly break this streak...hope I don't get called out again this week!
  16. My concern is why hasn't anyone else offered him an opportunity? Something there rather than retirement. Besides, there are some pretty decent coordinators at bigger conferences ready for a chance (Charlie Strong, Dan Mullens, Steve Addazio...and yes I know they are all from UF) that have produced. Let's get someone that wants to headbutt helmets and do jumping chest bumps!
  17. People will be more interested in watching the evening games
  18. Commen sense would say that Judy or the lawyers are looking into buy outs, terminations and other options. And that we have had conversations with these so called "consulting firms" that help with replacing head coaches. But that would be common sense and I'm not sure that's how they do things there...
  19. That's assuming he still comes here. I have to believe he and others are watching this closly, could be a circus around the program next year and he may opt out to some where different. All depends on how the season ends and changes happen in the next 2 months.
  20. I just got up, and since I'm two hours behind, I was hoping for some good news to have with my joe. my dream didn't come true. On to the Broncos game
  21. BJ did his job, as did LL and the rest of the O. This is on the D again
