    Maybe it was allowing this offense to go out on the field on 4th and 9 right before the half...he looked completely surprised. BJ had to point it out

    I called this outcome at half time and my wife said I'm so negative...she just apologized to me. This D is the worst I've ever seen

    Agree...the National Champion is just that; the best of the best! No way Rutgers or Louisville is anywhere near the team as Bama, Oregon or Florida. And the history the BE has had in the BCS games the last few year (WV is out) proves it.

    I'm sure they will wait and see if they can straighten it out to finish at least .500 and then hope for a bowl. If we finish under .500 and don't show any progress or heart, you have to think they will start looking at who is available and what financial options they can come up with for a buy out and funds to bring in someone new. Plus if things get any worse, any waivering recruits will switch or decommit and that sets you back...all those Orlando kids will have second thoughts if this circus keeps going

    UA is the best thing for us, their name and brand is rising faster in the sports apparel world...Nike sponsors the majority of the other state schools, so UA gives us the best exposure and brand awareness for sports. Adidas is becoming more and more about casual style and less about performance gear. They are losing out to contracts to UA and schools that are with them are looking to reup with Nike or listen to UA. Plus hearing we are doing the WW unis in November, we got a lot of talk after our last unis and it wasn't the bashing that Maryland was getting...so for marketing impressions and word of mouth is a good thing.

    We'll get a few more votes, but nothing too close. Teams like AZ St and and UCLA will get more love than we will, and I'm okay with that. Don't need our heads getting too big just yet. Focus on the short week and Rutgers and win

    Until I see us stop the run effectively, I'm playing the underdog role. We thought we were going to hang with them last year after starting hot and got embarrassed on ESPN that night...sat next to three Pitt grads at a bar out here and had to buy them a round. One win in the last 5 years doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies.

    I thought Lamar could have used another year of bulking up and focusing on football and not track. But I also am seeing more freshman playing around the country than a few years ago...so if they're ready great, if they are moving to another position or are injured...RS

    The key is long offensive drives...keep their O on the sideline and our D fresh. Take the crowd out of the game and no turn overs...sounds like any regular game plan to me. But this team is solid and has no problem coming after teams in "bigger conferences" and upsetting them. Daniels needs to limit all his mistakes and our D needs to pressure their QB into sacks and mistakes. Don't know when they have faced a team with our speed and athletisism, I'm interested in finally seeing what our secondary is going to look like too, went untested last week.

    Living in Denver that last 6 years I can say it will play both physical and psychological. Usually you see the effects in the second half when dehydration and fatigue set in; the key is keeping guys fresh. We'll also need to run the ball to keep the D getting too tired. The Broncos were at their best when they were running the ball and than dropping the hammer in the second half...plus they have two large signs in the stadium (visitor's locker room and tunnel to the field) that says "Welcome to Denver you are 5280 feet above sea level"

    Don't think BJ has the intellectual (not saying he's not smart) skill set RGIII has. BJ seems to have 1-2 mental mistakes a game, can't afford that in our situation

    Never really got bored...but I also think the coaches simplified some of the play calling to limit tape for future teams to review and also limit mistakes.

    I think you saw a lot of rust and over confidence (we were clearly more athletic than them) in some of the players last night. But we had no major injuries, some real game tape to review and a win. We need better discipline on the stupid personal fouls and turnovers. Next week will be a much better measurment to where we stand this season...Heck, even Skip's pops said to not judge your team after the first week, do it after the 2nd game.
