  1. This. Last 20 seasons: 18 post season trips. 1 year no postseason due to Covid. 1 down year.
  2. I think they settle in around 18 teams each .... unless, one of them ceases to exist (ACC or Big 12), then the 3 remaining could end up larger. If they go to 18, then I like our odds, as that means up to 5 more teams get the bump up.
  3. Placer and Reid looked good. Point guard play made the difference yesterday. (but the observation was on point based on the first two games)
  4. No one has left the AAC for any other non-power conference. AAC is our best option today. (ie we never got a power conference invite) If that PAC option pays B12 money, sign me up. But it will probably pay AAC money.
  5. Every team has nights like last night shooting. As long as the first game was closer to our identity than the second game then we will be fine.
  6. As long as there isn't a grant of rights, so be it. But that conference is long term doom for USF (as it was written in the tweet with USF the only school more than 10 miles east of the Mississippi River.)
  7. I hate this, I don't mind going to a rebuilt PAC, but it needs to have balance between East or West ..... we would be like Stanford and Cal in the ACC.
  8. Last ten seasons we are averaging over 23 wins per year, with the worst year in the last 10 seasons was 19 wins.
  9. I was just saying for 1 -2 years, tops, I don't know if they can change all the other games. I am sure some schools will be willing to help. Not a Notre Dame situation forever.
  10. This is true with a caveat. A lot of bowls cash huge sponsorship checks from the local tourism board, and the board pays that sponsorship in exchange for hotel room nights, as that is what they value. For example, I believe the Gasparilla Bowl moved from St. Pete to Tampa, when Visit St. Pete (I might have that name slightly wrong) dropped their sponsorship.
  11. Because Army was an independent, I wasn't sure if they would be able to cancel all their games for next year. I was wondering if maybe they played a partial conference schedule. (this is just my speculation, I have not seen anything in print either way)
  12. Yep, me plus that group tends to be pretty vocal.
  13. I think it is the $30 million mentioned. Surrendering an asset that is no longer needed, the think the price was worked out in advance.
  14. Just curious where you sit? (I am front row - not courtside - across from our bench on the baseline) .... I only mention it because it sounds like you are describing me and the people right in front of me.
  15. Noon - unless its a huge opponent, noon has always killed student crowds. I ranted about this before. ESPN should not get to pick our game times if they are just going to stream the game. I hate to say it, but Charlotte will be a small student crowd too, due to Thanksgiving weekend. On campus will help student crowds for sure. Winning will help. Bigger opponents will help.
  16. Basketball needs to be Temple Terrace's and New Tampa's home team (really) ..... for week night games you need to stay close to home. Pick the weekend games are try to reach a larger geography. M-F its the locals plus students, and that should be enough. (exceptions for big time opponents on weekdays)
  17. When I read this, I immediately knew the author lived somewhere out west, I then checked, and it was confirmed, as this list as such a west coast bias. I could be wrong, but what we are seeing now is a devaluation of west coast teams. All the brands in the west are joining East or Midwest based leagues. Total number of P5 teams in the west is decreasing (Wazzu and OreSt) ....I am not saying the author is wrong, but their bias shows, and they seem to be going against the current trends.
  18. Wait, where were the wings? I missed those.
  19. Oh dear God, what am I about to do ...... I wonder if Jim Leavitt would take a job as our DC? (by the way, I'm not saying Orlando is gone, I don't know enough to know if he is the cause of the problem, or he is playing the hand dealt as best as possible)
  20. This is such a tough question without reference. If I had to throw out a number, I would say 5'9" - where I had thought she was 5'6".
  21. This isn't scientific, but I saw Wilson in Publix last year, and my reaction was, "she is a lot taller than I had assumed she was" (not based on numbers, just on my gut instinct. Meaning I thought she was short, and standing next to her, realized she was taller than I thought.
  22. LOL - yesterday as Vicky and I were having BBQ for the second straight day in Memphis, she wondered what the food would be in the Club on Monday, and I joked BBQ, and she said she was going to get a hot dog then. Now I get to see if she meant that or was just being dramatic.
  23. I think we blowout Temple, but honestly, just get 2 wins and send us to a bowl game and I'll be happy.
  24. Problem is: the atmosphere will live and die with the student section, and after FSU - students are gone for the winter. So, that probably means better atmosphere for conference season.
  25. Not in any order, here is my prediction for the rest of the games: A blowout loss A close loss A close win A blowout win ..... then a bowl game!
