  1. While valid, let me offer something to add to this. 6-6 USF in the AAC, a nice step for us, but not turning any heads. Then a 1 - 2 punch. USF as underdogs, route Syracuse in the Boca Bowl, and people say, "USF is better than I thought." Then, USF signs the top G5 recruiting class, and people say, "And getting better" That double hit of postive USF news opened some eyes.
  2. I saw 2 people ask him a question from the stands where his answer sort of included rubbing his stomach. My crack analysis is that he was saying something like he had a stomach bug.
  3. I am going to blow some minds with this one. 1/5/2002 Men's hoops USF 117 TCU 108 (no overtime, at the Sun Dome)
  4. I spent 16 years where I felt I couldn't yell at games. Now I make up for it. My seats are great, when the refs make a call, they have to look at the official scorer, and I am lined up and letting them know what the correct call should have been.
  5. Yeah, not only did I not yell at the opposing coach, but as the guy behind me was yelling at him, I let him know that he played for us (guy didn't care)
  6. 22 college games in person this year, after I attend 3 bowl games, but this one didn't make the cut.
  7. While great ideas, I would be accused or rigging the contest to get all the points.
  8. I totally agree that (whichever conference invites us) is totally better than (the one that doesn't)!
  9. Yes, I totally get this will resonate with those who live close to USF much more than those who are further removed. Follow at least 10 USF official accounts (not the coaches, but the school accounts) across social media (2 points)
  10. I've thought of this before, but never actually done it, where I will challenge myself to be a better fan, and anyone who wants to challenge themself can do it to. I just am throwing this out to crowd source ideas, I only want things that benefit USF. Attend a home football game (1 point) maximum of 6 points Attend a road football game (2 points) maximum of 12 points Attend USF's Bowl Game (3 points) max of 3 points Buy at least 1 Bowl Game ticket directly from USF (2 points) max of 2 points Attend a home XXXX game (1 point) (will fill in all the other USF sports for these two later) Attend a road XXXX game (2 points) Buy USF clothing January to June (1 point) Buy USF clothing July to December (1 point) Have a USF licensee plate on your car - the one issued by the state of Florida (1 point) max of 1 point Be a member of the USF Alumni Association (2 points) Be a life member of the USF Alumni Association (1 point) Have USF Football season tickets (5 points) max of 5 points Have USF Men's Basketball season tickets (5 points) max of 5 points Have USF Women's Basketball season tickets (5 points) max of 5 points Have a child (or relative if you paid for the membership) in the Rocky's Rookies Club (1 point) max of 3 points Attend a homecoming event on campus other than the football game (1 point) Pay a Bulls Club fee for priority seating with your season tickets (5 points) Give to the Bulls Club on top of what is required for your season tickets (5 points) Give money to Fowler Ave. NIL Collaborative (3 points) max of 3 points Have a Fowler Ave. Subscription that automatically bills your credit card each month (3 points) Attend the Bulls Club Auction, Kickoff luncheons for football or basketball, Hall of Fame Banquet (1 point each) maximum of 4 points Donate to another part of USF other than Athletics (2 points) maximum of 2 points What else can I add to the list?
  11. Also - that means I'll be on my best behavior tonight, as Solomon gets the friends and family treatment out of me. (I've had a few coaches argue with me, best being Hurley who spent way too much time worry about me and not about the game)
  12. For those who don't know, UAPB head coach is Solomon Bozeman, who played for USF around time time we went from Robert McCollum or Stan Heath. I am wondering if he will be the first former player to be head coach on the opposing bench? (I know Chad Dollar has coached against us as an assistant) He won't be the first USF Basketball player with that distinction, as Joi Williams played at USF, (currently works for USF MBB) and was head coach for UCF WBB for many games at USF.
  13. On paper, it was a great hire.* *Skip Holtz was also a great hire on paper.
  14. I share this on Twitter. For perspective, since USF went Division 1 in WBB, head coaching wins: 1. Jose Fernandez 450 2. Trudi Lacey 68 That is one hell of a drop off from 1 to 2.
  15. Agree - I was just saying they didn't need to raid the Big 12 to be #3, if they stuck together, they would be head and shoulders ahead of the Big 12 in football.
  16. If the ACC sticks together, they are the 3rd best conference (in football) easily, without taking anyone.
  17. UCF's stadium, from the moment you leave the ground to climb the stairs, you are standing on aluminum. (their press box/suites/club is the exception. But for almost every seat in the stadium, your feet are on aluminum. They made a point to say we aren't building a bounce house, I think that means the aisles, the concourses, the seating bowl will not be mostly aluminum (not talking about the benches). Could there be some, sure (I don't know).
  18. You can see we have already won a Game Day game ... (I know the poll said hosting, which is different) I have been twice. USF at Army, and Washington at Nebraska in 1998 (during the USF bye week) College GameDay: Locations, all-time appearances, most times hosting WWW.NCAA.COM ESPN's College GameDay pre-game show goes to a different location every week to preview the week's college football action. Find the complete list of locations...
  19. I'm in, driving down 12/21, going to WBB in West Palm, then the bowl, staying at a Quality Inn right near FAU, then driving back the next morning.
  20. In a couple years they need to play this game in the football stadium (I am not kidding).
  21. I bet I got 11 from something talking about 2023 being our 11th bowl game.
  22. I am 11/11 in attending. My closest to missing was Toronto, as I had to work the Outback Bowl on 1/1, and I think the Toronto game was 1/2. I went right to the airport from the Outback Bowl, and ended up drinking in the US Airways lounge with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's private security guy. Got up there, went to the game, then came right back home. (if my count of 11 is off, whatever the number is I have been to them all)
  23. guys hitting the portal now because they want more playing time and don't think they will get it here is really an opportunity for us. It will be the guys after the bowl that hit the portal to make more money that will hurt (if any do)
  24. I don't see 1-2 AAC schools leaving to join the MWC/PAC .... it will either be 4 or more, or 0. UTSA wouldn't leave alone, pay an exit fee, leave all the other texas schools, increase travel costs, be isolated, align with the west coast (when the trend is saying all the west coast schools want to align East), just for a slight bump up in revenue. Could I see a PAC that has multiple AAC schools, with East and West divisions, maybe, if the TV money is there, but no one is going west alone.
  25. Yeah, even without Sammie we are WNIT good at minimum (and maybe NCAA good).
