  1. My 2 cents. This isn't a money play. If he goes it is a chance to go home, and play in a league with a better shot at a Natty. I hope he stays, but he earned the right to do whatever he feels is best for him, and I will wish him well.
  2. Did he get the autograph. (Prior did come out and sign 20 minutes or so after the game)
  3. Easiest way is simply wait about 30 minutes after the game ends and every player ends up back in the arena to talk to friends and family. You can also try near the tunnel as the team comes on and off the court. (way before the game is best, once you get inside of 15 minutes on the countdown clock or in and out of halftime is very unlikely). Right after the game by the tunnel is also possible, but tougher to get in position. (Im not speaking for the player, just describing the best places to get autographs, up to the player to sign or not)
  4. I really like Robert. He was a good guy. His coaching tree took a hit this week, as both him and Steve Henson lost D1 head coaching jobs. Chris Capko will be a D1 head coach some day, who played for Robert. I wonder if this might be retirement? Wish him the best whatever he does. (not to be a smartass, but he was a lot like Jeff Scott, but with lots more success, in that he was a very likeable guy, who we wanted to win, but he just didn't win enough....... but I am not comparing his results to Scott, as Robert did much better)
  5. Personally, of the 4 they took, here is the order I value the schools: BYU (brings eyes to tv sets) UCF (lots of up side, great market) Cincy (recent success in football, historically good basketball, solid) Houston (Big 12 is fine in basketball without Houston, and Houston is such a non-factor even in the city of Houston) I have BYU easily ahead. UCF and Cincy close, and Houston way behind the other 3.
  6. I think both the ACC and Big 12 either currently has or soon will have remorse on some of their expansion. I am not knocking these fine schools, but I think the leagues will regret taking them: ACC: SMU, Cal, Stanford Big 12: Cincy, Houston Not picking on those schools, just thinking that the choice at the time looked good, but is now not ideal.
  7. Here is the thing. The Big 12 are the leftovers that the P2 didn't want. The ACC still has the schools the P2 wants, plus the leftovers. There is no reason to think the B12 is superior to the ACC even after the P2 takes the schools they want. The B12 has lost: Nebraska, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M while the ACC has only lost Maryland.
  8. We do that too, 2 cops for every video review by the refs.
  9. gousfbulls.com has a 24-25 roster. Ascensio gone too if the roster is correct. Not in the portal yet, but maybe just heading home.
  10. This is so wrong. I was looking for a USF +12.5
  11. the c fan right in front of me got thrown out of the building. (with 2 minutes or so to go). He brought a horn in, and was blowing it right as our players tried to shoot free throws. What was either funny or classless depending on your perspective is that he was next to our band, and he would blow the horn in the middle of our band playing to make it sound like the band messed up and hit a wrong note.
  12. I would love to be in a league with some of these schools: Georgia Tech, Miami, Duke, Wake, NC State, Virginia, Va Tech, Pitt, Cuse, Louisville, BC (assuming FSU, Clemson, UNC are gone) No offense to SMU, Cal, Stanford, I don't object to them being there.
  13. I think they add one less than what leaves to get to 16. So if 4 leave, I think 3 get added (USF, UConn, Tulane)
  14. Another real scenario. If the ACC only loses 1-2 schools, doesn't expand, and survives, then the Big 12 may come calling.
  15. I don't think this is a NIL issue, as a simple legal issue. Student visas limit employment off the college campus. student visas are easier to get than work visas. I would think the solution is just to get a different kind of visa (but that does have challenges).
  16. Personally, we want 2-4 teams to leave the ACC and go to the P2, that is what will open a spot for us. What we don't want is the B12 to be able to pull ACC schools, that will lead to the ACC losing a lot. We still go there, our league home is still upgraded, but the upgrade is not as big as we hope for.
  17. Yes ... NCAA behind the WBIT, for the next 32 teams outside of NCAA. It is clearly the second best tournament. WNIT is a pay to play, and has fallen to the equivolent of the CBI for men.
  18. We opted out of the WNIT. We weren't selected for the top 2 tournaments. WBIT or NCAA.
  19. I am guessing it goes something like this. Anyone done, 100% do senior day. (Placer) Anyone coming back for certain, don't do senior day (Youngblood) Anyone not sure, even if you lean towards coming back, do senior day, but it is player's choice (Hines, Selton)
  20. Football is different for a couple reasons. Most games do not align with classes. And -I have been to over half the FBC schools home games. People treat football like the whole campus is the parking lot. Meaning people will be parking over by engineering, the MSC, fine art, all over the place, and either walking or taking a shuttle bus. For basketball everyone drives to the arena.
  21. Yes, and even at some schools that aren't $0 students pay for tickets to the games. (usually at low prices)
  22. There is a young guy who sits front row behind the scorers table who looks like he is late 20s. I know that isn't courtside, but he helps prove this point.
  23. ACC invite happens only after they 100% know they are losing members. Big 12 invite happens only after they 100% know they won't have the power to raid ACC teams. Big 10 invite only happens after they conclude they only want AAUs and either decide we are better at a discount than Miami at full price, or Miami can't get out of the ACC. (or they decide they want to Florida AAUs) SEC invite only happens after Big 10 takes both Miami and FSU and they decide they need 1 more FL school to still claim the state as SEC country. I am not saying any of these 4 scenarios happens, but something has to happen first in all of them. (and that thing we may never know that it happened, as it may happen privately and never come out).
