    We are, CJS is building it right just like Fickle did. We dropped 50 on Cincy by halftime in Fickle's first season.

    I'm fine with a time extension. He hasn't earned a bigger paycheck yet though. I like what he is doing with the program, and changing coaches every 2-3 years has set us back decades already.

    I appreciate that we have a head coach that will go for it on 4th down, that will play for touchdowns when we were down big instead of kicking meaningless field goals, that goes for fake punts & on-side kicks. This is the change in attitude, change in team culture that is needed. It is akin to CWT wanting his offense to feen touchdowns. I feel good about next year now that we have purged the Cosh/Bresnehan/Spencer defensive philosophy.

    They also had a much weaker schedule than us, and it's even worse next year. I'd have to agree that their trajectory is downward unless they can find a QB to transfer in.

    Even more reason to double the athletic fee per semester registration. The university itself has to be the #1 investor into athletics/football. The marketing benefits are the real bargain. It is national brand recognition. When I was a student in the Big East days, I wore USF gear in Los Angeles, and would have a handful of people say something about USF Football. Otherwise, they would have had no idea about USF at all, just like I had never heard of USF when I was a kid in South Florida. It is pathetic that the University hasn't invested anything but new sod on practice fields in 20 years.

    Honestly, all 4 are beatable. Cincy struggled badly against Tulane. Houston has been up and down all year. UCF lost to a terrible Navy, and it's a rivalry game.
