At no point in my time as a USF fan have I ever heard the O-Line get "hyped up." An O-Line has been on my Christmas list every year since 2008.

Today was miserable. It was almost as bad as the swamp in 2010. Easily the hottest USF game Ive been to. Add in the on-field disaster and I dont know how you could honestly blame anyone for not going to the games. I hope OP was at the game today, since he made this thread.

Already JV league sized so Im not sure what firing him would accomplish... last year's gem of an opener lol this. That and the FAU loss are both way worse than this. We arent firing him. There is no need. This team has a laundry list of problems. It isnt just the coach. The coach is just the easiest to fix so that is what people go to. Firing him would not benefit USF in the slightest.

Really? You don't think opposing coaches will watch game tape to see what our weaknesses are? Expect another heavy dose I think they will pepper it in there. Especially if they think we arent expecting it. I would expect to see it in the red zone to be honest. They arent going to change their entire game plan for us. They arent going to make the QB learn a bunch of new throws and plays just for us. If anything, they will incorporate our weaknesses into the strengths of their current offense.

Losing Davis hurts. It is always nice to have that threat receiver in at all times. Keep the defense on their toes.

meh....their whole offense was screen passes for the most part. Their QB hardly every kept it for more than 2 seconds unless the pressure was on. We likely wont see that kind of offense again for the rest of the season so I wouldnt use last night as our defensive barometer. Just look at the first two games from last year. All about matchups.

You never know. We got pounded by MSU last year and then went to the other MSU and kept it really close. All about matchups. I think we should be able to hang with all the teams on our schedule except those who run the Spread well.

I would take that showing at every game. They were loud when they were supposed to be loud.

First world problems at its finest right here. Helmets were fine. Losing yesterday would have been worse than any helmet we would have worn.

I think the offense is fine. White threw a lot of passes too high and even a few too low. Our guys got good spacing and could have prevented some punts if the throws were a little better. I am ok with first game jitters I just think he needs to execute better next week. If we can show that this offense can work we can start attracting some of those bigger linemen who leave to Big10 schools and even the ones at FSU and UF. There are plenty of big boys down here in FL. Just have to show we have the personnel to make it happen. As far as WCU's defense goes, they were making Mack beat them. I would have done the same. If I saw the opposing QB was rattled or off the mark, I would make them beat me on the ground. Those big runs were just the difference in athletic ability. Even so, the game was within 5 with 9 seconds to go. If one of those huge runs doesnt happen...we lose again. Their defensive game plan was solid and we just happened to overcome. Only thing I want to see from the offense is improved accuracy at QB. The defense is my issue. I know the spread is difficult to cover but some of their guys were WIDE OPEN at times.

lol this. Not that I disagree that UCF's atmosphere is better and that there is really no home field advantage at USF anymore considering we have won like maybe 3 home games in the last two years, but wow.
