    They will come out swinging. I'd like to think they keep it respectable as long as they can, but in the end, Wisconsin is a steamroller. Also, not sure how much crowd noise will affect us. We used to be good at false starts on our own, so depends if the're going to audible all the motions as much this week. Hope that coach has a plan for that.

    UConn games seem to be a special breed. The last 8 meetings have all been decided by 7 points or less. Doesn't matter the coach or the team's respective records ... It's missing the some vitriol, but almost seems like.....rival.

    At this point, and if the financial rumors are even half true, USF isn't waiting to build a 'better' stadium, they're waiting to build any stadium. I really wonder if they will build it as we all fantasize.

    The crowd sounded really good for how small it was. There was good noise for the most part, until later when we botched the punt and they scored. It got loud towards the end too before we fell short.

    Definitely. We were spoiled being in the BE before falling to the 6th most relevant conference. Every conference in the morass G-5 losers says it will be #6. Every team in the morass of G-5 losers says it will stand out. Dude, wake up. The B5 took the money and left. AAC > $0 That second number represents how much we'd be getting as an independent. Nay nay .... We'd probably get between $2 and $3 million dollars per year, blood money for playing every game on the road. So we wouldn't need that OCS after all

    Doesn't the home team usually get a built in 3 points? So if it were +1.5 USF, we're actually about even and/or -1.5? I suck at this betting stuff.

    Eh, Zook may not have won 2 titles, but he was about due for a good year. He recruited many of the recruits that Meyer went on to utilize in winning for the next 3-4 years. Talent alone should've yielded Zook 8 or 9 wins in most of those years. Either way, I hope Muschamp stays as long as he can.

    Got in my car at 545 and my radio happened to be on 98.7, and they were discussing Muschamp reinstating 3 players who had a one game suspension after the game was cancelled. Booger thinks it was a good call, and thinks the Idaho game that was never played counts as the season opener. Even the UF homer Mark Ryan was baffled. That is a microcosm of booger's logic. Btw, booger has a big head, every time I see him I think back to the original ninja turtles movies LOLOLOLOL

    Our speed used to be showcased more, but the schemes we've ran recently do not utilize it, and we play slower, or so it seems. Maryland's offense scares me. I think we can make some stops on defense, but for how long? If Maryland keys in on our run game, and neither of our QBs can move the ball, this won't be close. I really hope White shook it off and can start looking at his options, which will open the cycle up for the run game to flourish too.

    Their defense could be improved and Edsall does know his way around those. May be first year he has a healthy roster.

    Things I saw: NC state is beatable. Thwy suck just as bad as us. Former UF QB Jacoby Brissett is the same mediocre guy he was at UF. Uconn ugh. Wisconsin has poor run defense.

    derpy derr, i guess wisconsin and stanford have been crappy teams in recent years. passing is crucial to having a successful team, but having a power running team can often punch the defense in the mouth (does anyone remember UCONN and Pitt and Rutgers giving us hell in the late 2000's with their big backs and game managing style of QB play?). It also keeps the other teams offense (which yes, many on our schedule can be pass happy at times) off the field and gives them less time to score points (if our defense is half decent, that's 2 things going for us). smazza threads:

    I'm guessing about 4500. I think the student section needs to cut out the 200s and 300s seating and just leave it at whatever those end zone areas will hold. Use the 200s level corner areas for overflow, if it gets to that. That end zone is usually what you see on TV anyways, so I'd prefer there be less choices so they pack in down there. I think it will be decently lively since it's first game of the year, and the new freshmen if they make it out, don't know the history usually, and will be ready to party/scream. Hopefully the older students can teach them well so they're not sitting on their hands.
