  1. There is a difference between coming back and coming back prepared to compete and the highest level. Skip isn't a doctor so I'm going forward with cautious optimism on this.
  2. Funny you mention ND's arena. I said the same thing to Bill McGillis while getting a tour from him. The private boxes and club area make ours different, but overall I got the feel of the ND arena.
  3. What? Is Pearl River CC at their max of USF spots?
  4. Per article - "Look at Sam Cassell, he looks like an alien mated with a human and then smashed it's face in with a brick at birth." That's just F'd up. I personally wouldn't sleep with the guy, but c'mon he's not that bad looking of a guy. Well when you're rich and famous it doesn't matter how you look. Some of the finest females on the planet will think you're a beautiful person. Look at Tyrone "Tea Time" Hill. As one article said, "he's the walking definition of ugly." Yet this guy had a beautiful wife and gets to cheat with many other women. That list wasn't that bad. They have nothin' on baseball's Willie McGee http://www.google.com/imgres?q=willie+mcgee&um=1&hl=en&safe=off&sa=N&biw=1067&bih=522&tbm=isch&tbnid=_ZLmj8FzHLfH2M:&imgrefurl=http://www.facebook.com/people/Willie-McGee/100001662889805&docid=opHb4vYMB6qJ1M&imgurl=http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-snc4/49908_100001662889805_7001181_n.jpg&w=171&h=240&ei=ZK1vT42lLMae2gXU5-TxAQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=650&sig=104880768687621364048&page=1&tbnh=139&tbnw=96&start=0&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0&tx=48&ty=78
  5. If we go, we might be able to help you out. My wife is a great DD.
  6. I just wonder if people will remember that thinking when we lose Tampa kids to bigger programs outside the area.
  7. You could look at it another way. If USF saved 43.2 million (and I'm not sure saving is the word since they would not have made any money from ticket sales and wouldn't have played a game), 12 years down the road we would still be $200 - 250 million short for a new stadium.
  8. We are losing $3.6 million a year at least, maybe more... we have been at RayJay since what 1999? 12 years x $3.6 Million = $43.2 Million that could had been used for an indoor practice facility, any of the new stadiums on campus (i.e. no need for loans), improvements to the Sun Dome (no need for another loan)... which would allow USF to take a loan out to build an OCS... This is what we know we are losing... I believe that we are losing about $7 million or so a year by staying at RayJay One problem Dixie. We would not have been able to play any football games since 1999 without paying that money. There is a cost to doing business for USF.
  9. Yet many people posting on this topic are calling for the Glazers to build OUR stadium. Prolly a story or two in the bible about this. 3 workers were promised certain pay for certain work. Two got paid what was promised and the third got more because the owner felt like it. The other 2 bitched because they didn't get extra. Was explained to them that they got what they agreed on and shouldn't be griping because the owner was generous with someone else. So just because the Glazers are being generous to Tulane, USF has NOTHING to complain about. They signed a lease agreement and that isn't being changed. Would it be NICE if the Glazers ponied up some money? Sure. But I just don't see this big controversy.
  10. I don't think the Glazers invited the ACC to hold their championship game at Ray Jay. Why would we expect the Glazers to donate to USF? They have no ties to the university. I saw an article in the paper recently about the Top 10 donors from the Tampa Bay area. None of the money went to USF, at least 2 went to the Univ of Miami and others went around the country. Little stayed in the area. Of the Top 10 donations into the Tampa Bay area, none went to USF. The money the Muma's gave I guess wasn't large enough to make the list. So why single out the Glazers? They are business people. We rent the stadium from TSA. We knew the rules about concessions and parking when we signed the agreement. As someone said here earlier, to put out money we don't have for a stadium that would be used 7 times a year makes little economic sense at this time. Let's put the money into recruiting.
  11. Can I plea bargain down to a charge of Bullspen Misleadence? I heard that if I am guilty of not using the appropriate emoticon that I could be sentenced to reading all of Smazza's 189,000 posts.
  12. You guys are just so freakin easy. I was kidding. Do I need to put a smiley after every sarcastic remark I make. That is usually my MO on here. You should know that by now.
  13. Doesn't like cold weather? Someone better tell him half our BE games are in cold weather.
  14. Not sure that will help but appreciate the try. I unfortunately posted to this thread so it won't show up on the unread list.
  15. Not exactly sure what your "unread replies list" is ... I think he wants an answer to the same question I've asked about this thread in the past. When I hit the link above for "Show new replies to my post", this one just won't die since it has been going on for years. I have no interest in it and would love to not have it show up on that list. So is there a way to make that happen? Maybe delete the original posts or "unsubscribe" from this thread?
  16. Stony Brook Western Kentucky FAU Syracuse Louisville We've never beating beaten Louisville up there. We were "supposed" to beat them up there 2 years ago. Syracuse is at Ray Jay so you're probably right on that one.
  17. Sarcasm is not tolerated after a loss. We are a sensitive bunch. My apologies to Bulls Nation - all 23 of them.
  18. I thought it was pretty funny. Wasn't it meant to be something called sarcasm?
