they did a pretty solid job along with SG. Surprised there wasn't more students. Will be interesting for the next home game being 1st Big East game and on a Thursday night I thought the students turned out in pretty good numbers. The main section in north end was full. I just thought there would be 1-2K more to help fill 200s even though vs UTC, still season opener and many freshmen's 1st chance to be in student section and to get loyalty points for FSU game.... There was a little spillover into the 2nd level plus no telling how many weren't in seats .... I thought the student was pretty good, all things considered. they did a pretty solid job along with SG. Elevation isn't quite a mile, about 4,500 ft. Will make a bit of a difference but shouldn't determine the outcome of the game. Walking/hiking in South Lake Tahoe at 6,200 feet was more noticeable than the Reno area. Saw that their QB was 25 of 32. Don't know how far downfield those throws were but that is pretty impressive. The article in the local paper when we were there talked about how good their offensive line is supposed to be. So we'll find out much more about our front 7 after this game.

For myself, when I'm at the game I don't think much about chat rooms and such. If I do think about I may try to jump in during one of the timeouts. We'll see how Ray Jay and surrounding cell towers handle the traffic. Many times internet access was slow to non existent for me last year.

.....what else would you like to see on Saturday? Me, I'd like to see about 250 - 300 yards on the ground using 3 or 4 RB's with the offensive line opening holes that I could run through. And just enough passing to get some real game practice.

Lynchburg is only about 60 miles away. Close enough for us to go with the JD

Seems like you are getting pretty sound advice from most. This game isn't worth the fight. Best advice I ever got and advice that I give out to friends that ask. "Pick your battles". Hell, I even missed opening game a couple of years ago for my daughter's wedding. Couldn't even tell you now who we played. Been married 25 wonderful years, 35 total and 29 to the current wife. I kid, I kid.

BDYZR = BEER But, Jack Daniels is an option. We always try to do a drink (and food) from the visiting team's area or state. But there is always beer at the tailgate as well. Lynchburg lemonade (or a shot of JD) will be the featured drink. Beer will be a filler. Jello shots (green w/tequila and gold w/vodka) are usually staples as well. We purchased a set of Big East mini helmets a few years back and put the 2 game day helmets on the table. That set is pretty much worthless now.

When you play a team from Tenn you have to go with Jack Daniels at the tailgate, don't you?

USF 45 - 6 Murray Lamar (3 screen passes for long distance TD's) 435

I had been a BH holdout because of USF games. I finally had had enough of the spotty internet connections with BH and switched to FIOS a week or so ago. It may mean missing a USF game but I had had enough. My daughter and son-in-law still have BH so they can record any that FIOS doesn't carry. Or I'll watch any away games at their place. One note about FIOS, no PIP. Hard to believe. There are 2 tuners in the DVR so I'm not sure why they can't set that up.

Didn't they go down to the student section to sing it after the games last year? Or was that the fight song? Good seeing you the other night.
