  1. Whoa there buddy - once could rationalize some things about your identity as it relates to UCF based on your large assertions. Did you even read that thread? Sounds like most of the UCF fans, if not all, are taking a "wait and see" attitude since the original poster could not provide anything more than "I saw it on TV" - which leaves room for error on the original posters end. Yes, I read the thread. Did you compare the times of my post here with their responses? When I posted here there was only one response on your board and it was buying the "news", as is usual. There really are too many examples of UCF fans taking any hint of wrongdoing/negative about USF and gleefully embracing, believing, and spreading it to argue with you about. Like I said, pitiful.
  2. Freakin' Gloden Knights will believe anything negative about USF and amplify it 100 times. They are so obsessed it is pitiful. Without us, they have no identity whatsoever.
  3. Poor girl. She looks so cold...
  4. I've got friends who lives in Clanton, which is about 45 minutes north of Montgomery. I will drive up and stay with them. My son, who is in the Navy, is thinking about meeting us there!
  5. Grouper, Don't get your green and gold glasses get in the way. First if they 18 year old girl gets drunk, drives home and gets into a wreck. Instant lawsuit against the Bull Ring AND Matt; not to mention the criminal aspects. So yes, it is a BIG deal in that aspect. They weren't making a freaking name, they probably didn't even know who he was. They were just hitting up a bar that had a liquor license on file with them. Yes, when in hindsight it isn't a big deal, but it very well could have been. Your comments are absurd. I'm witcha, joe. Funny how people get to pick and choose what laws they want enforced. A screw up is a screw up. Man up and own it and get on with your life. Makes me worry about how those who cry foul (don't the cops have better things to do yadda yadda) are raising thier kids. Wait, I've seen their kids...there is no wonder.
  6. 9-4 at worst. So I am going with the worst. But seeing you guys' predictions I can't wait for 130 more days to be gone. I am so glad I became a season ticket holder! GOT MINE! GOT YOURS???
  7. Welcome to the brotherhood, crambone! This is only my second season as a sth, but I will never give them up. Never!
  8. In his first season, if he can effectively take the heat off of Grothe by running well enough that Matt doesn't have to I will be satisfied. If the defense doesn't know which one to watch, I will be happy. Gotta protect Matt. Second season on, I expect big things.

  10. 8th You go, little bro.  You can do it if you are willing to work for it.  Get all the help you can and don't be afraid to ask.  I moved around a lot and have gone to five or six different colleges.  I can tell you that THERE IS NOTHING LIKE BEING A BULL!!!
  11. Who has ever called CJL too harsh? This was the expected punishment.... nothing.  While it's certainly fitting for a minor, and first time, infraction such as this, it's the typical response. With a grand total of 25 posts you probably weren't around for the discussion last season about the six game suspensions. Calm down and lay back. See the lay of the board. A lot happened before you got here.
  12. A good and proportionate response. Should quiet those critics who have labeled CJL as too harsh. Once again, he made me proud to call him my coach.
  13. Very well written and restrained. Good way to represent. Thanks.
  14. It seems like Ponton needed Hall in order to maximize his potential. When Ponton ran on the downs that Hall sat out, he looked real good to me. When Hall graduated, I thought, "Well, that is OK -- we have Ponton who will develop into a back close to Hall's talent". That didn't happen and I think the suspension gave him an attitude that will never allow him to live up to his potential. Remember -- he did have a 100 yard game. But has really disappointed otherwise. It is imperative that we have a good running game or Matt will not make the season. He will have a target on him from game one due to his injury and the lack of depth at QB and RB. The kid is awesome and is and will be a part of USF history, but he can't take the hits that come with being the only running game we have.
  15. Yeah, I sit in 114 and would love to have no visiting fans in it.  For the price, I would say it is the best value.  Home team side, shade, and good mix of loud, but considerate people.
  16. Sorry, but I don't buy it. They showed their butts on television. White and Slaton couldn't have run in that game even if they had put rollerblades on. Getting embarrassed at home by the lowly Bulls? Right -- that didn't hurt. Sure, the thing with L'ville is bigger for them, but we shamed them. BTW, I love having these games on DVD -- I watch one every week and last week was this one.
  17. Shoot, just this kind of talk is getting me excited for the new season! Can't wait. Just think -- some day season tickets to a Bulls game will be passed on from parents to children because that is the only way to get them! Glad we got ours now!
  18. I am sorry my university did so poorly. But I really don't care for basketball as a sport, so it hasn't ruined my winter. I watch a DVD of one of our football games from last season, play my NCAA '07 and wait for September. If Mac has to go, so be it. Basketball is not the sport which will put you on the map in Florida, anyway. This is a football state.
  19. This is what I have been explaining to people at work. Of course, Lakeland is very USF friendly, so it isn't a challenge. What the challenge is -- I have been preaching to Gator fans that they have the opportunity to be charter USF fans instead of "me too" Gator fans. USF is the home team, they are good, they are making history, creating a legacy (or a legend, as you put it). I can only attribute the need to be seen as a gator as a pretentious deep need for affiliation and acceptance. After all, most gator fans never even took a class from the institution or even lived close to it. But instead of cheering for the home team or the school their kids or other relatives attended, they have to deck themselves out in the loudest outfits of orange and blue. They couldn't tell you how to get to the stadium, but by God, they are gators! My hats off to all of us who believed enough to invest our emotions, time, and funds into a dream. That investment is paying off. Now, to offer that dream to others...
  20. This is great news. He is putting USF on the radar of many schools and sportswriters. He will be a legend here.
