  1. Actually, I think Sophia might show me the errors of my ways:
  2. An OCS and the new uniforms are among the topics that we didn't cover.
  3. Outside of this board, I think the impression of how our team is doing is much better. Yesterday, I was at the checkout counter at Publix by me and I commented that USF football starts in three weeks. Both the cashier and bagger went on about how well "we" (including themselves as fans) did in the last couple of seasons and couldn't wait for this season to start. I think BP members are a little more demanding and impatient than the fans outside. AND, it just occurred to me that I missed an opportunity to invite two people to this board. I deserve to be disciplined. I suggest that Sophia Vergara administer the punishment.
  4. This thread has provided much joy on the Gloden Knights rivals board. Can't say as I blame them, being National Champions and all.
  5. That might be a good Youtube channel - crazy Bulls fans' reactions during games!
  6. This thread got me excited again. I can't go two weeks on the offseason without watching a past USF game. Although I had to give up my season tickets (disability precludes walking and sitting) I get fired up watching the games on TV. My wife has to leave the house during games due to my yelling. Remember the WVU game at Tampa? I tore my MCL at that game from jumping and yelling. Doctor got a kick out of that one.
  7. I understand the frustration and disappointment expressed by some of the posters. I think that in their frustration, they perhaps have overstated their case and will embrace the program as they once did - when we were winning, and knocking down giants unexpectedly. That's all that's missing - winning. We have had lousy scheduling for a while and even when we win, it is no big deal. Want it to be like 2007-08? We have to win like then against big programs. I think we have the team and the coach. Not the schedule. Remember that the sell outs and excitement came not from winning a BE championship. It was about beating big programs. That's not our ultimate football goal, but will go a long way towards re-energizing the fan base. I'm still psyched about a new season starting soon. Can't wait.
  8. Whoa! I was thinking it was Kawika Mitchell. The 1970"s coming back to visit me... Nevermind
  9. Got to meet him in Kansas at USF vs Kansas game. He came up to the USF section and walked around shaking hands and thanking people for coming to the game. Very personable and nice. It's a shame.
  10. Our billboard was pretentious and slightly embarrassing. But a self proclaimed National Championship replete with the accompanying festivities could possibly one of the most egregious examples of mass hysteria ever documented. Even by UCF standards.
  11. Years ago I was invited to join a diocesan choir to sing for Pope JP2. It would have cost me $750 for travel, etc. Against my wife's advice I declined to take money away from my family so that I could experience this. Major regret to this day. I'm very glad that these kids got to experience this once in a lifetime trip.
  12. Yes and years more. some still have commercials and/or halftime as I wasn't very good at it years ago. We can upload them without getting in trouble? I have them on DVD. Guess I copy to hard drive and then upload? I am AARP Here... Ok, scrolled through all 1m posts. I'll check to see what's been uploaded against what I have.
  13. I throw up a little whenever I see Schiano. #neveratusf
  14. Most of you know a lot more about college football than I do . If the Bcs system was so broken that it had to be replaced, how is this G5, P5 system more fair ? In practice it seems to be even more unfair. Thanks for the help, folks.
  15. Well, at any rate, I had a great email exchange with CJL last week congratulating him on the new job and reminiscing about a couple of games. When it comes to what happened, none of us conclusively knows the truth and people deserve to move on. It's just a part of history now. Of course, it would be easier to leave it in the past if Miller would stop talking about it.
