  1. Good Lord! The play would be over by then. Maybe they could just announce the players who didn't play elsewhere.
  2. Have a great day and use that sunblock, young man! Hoping for a great game, no asterisks, and no injuries. It was a pleasure having you visit and you represented your school well. Have fun and be safe!
  3. Thank God the offseason is over! We can stop arguing over stupid non-football stuff and start arguing over stupid football stuff.
  4. That pic just became my computer background and I am getting a Yuenglings right now. Moderation, My ass. This is why you keep your fat clothes! Party on, Brad!
  5. I'd love it but I'm not driving to Tampa for it. I used to go to the Lakeland location when I worked close to it. It was sad that it closed due to fire. Biggest, best chef's salad I've seen.
  6. Good strategy. I, like others here, used to get so buzzed and loud that my wife would go out shopping. But since the beginning of last season, I've lost fifty pounds by slowing down on the beer. I'm not sure I would like to go back to my enhanced body mass. I hate moderation. I find the whole concept to be far too constraining.
  7. I saw them at Lakeland Civic Center in '82. All of their recorded concerts can be found online at https://archive.org/details/GratefulDead. You can probably find your show there. OK, back to football.
  8. If that's Toxic Masculinity then I'm poisoned through and through. Go Bulls! I want to see every opposing player's lunch money laid at Rocky's feet. Time to put your game face on:
  9. People have offered many "key" aspects to this game but I'm going for a low tech ingredient. Right from the article, " USF's upset bid was stymied by an 11-4 disparity in penalties and key turnovers that turned momentum." Fundamentals. Without them, we don't have to worry about DBs on an island or LB play. It will be impossible to win if we do our usual false starts, motion, illegal formations, too many people lined up off the line, etc.
  10. I'm not proud of the fact that my happiness is largely in the hands of nineteen and twenty year old kids this time of year. But, it is.
  11. Dude! Don't go there. I left a long time ago and haven't looked back. Scary place, man...
  12. He was an aggressive hard hitter. I guess that PF's are an occupational hazard of playing that hard.
  13. Alright, enough about the stupid sandwich. Let's get to the important stuff. Where's the picture of the ten pound bucketmouth that you wrestled out of a gator's jaws?
  14. I don't think it was me, but I only have two brain cells left and one is waving bye-bye to the other. I found it interesting that it is a short time to acclimation - "over the course of 7 to 14 days."
  15. https://ksi.uconn.edu/prevention/heat-acclimatization/ Heat acclimation or acclimatization plays a large part in the body’s physical responses and overall ability to cope with heat exposure. Heat acclimation is a broad term that can be loosely defined as a complex series of changes or adaptations that occur in response to heat stress in a controlled environment over the course of 7 to 14 days. These adaptations are beneficial to exercise in the heat and allow the body to better cope with heat stress. Heat acclimatization describes the same process, but happens in a natural environment. In either case, the positive adaptations that occur include reductions in: Heart rate Internal body temperature responses Skin temperature responses Sweat electrolyte concentrations Rating of perceived exertion As well as increases in: Sweat rate Sweat onset (sweating starts earlier) Blood flow Exercise performance in the heat and cooler conditions All of these changes improve an athlete’s ability to handle heat stress during exercise.
  16. I hope you have a great time here, Ryan. You seem like a cool dude.
  17. https://popculture.com/sports/2019/08/28/wife-child-blake-bivens-tampa-bay-rays-minor-league-pitcher-allegedly-killed-family-member/ Tragedy has struck the Tampa Bay Rays organization and the family of Double-A pitcher, Blake Bivens. ESPN has learned that Bivens’ wife, mother-in-law and child were among three people killed in rural Virginia. The family dog was also lost in the ordeal. Early reports have reported that authorities are charging Bivens’ brother-in-law for the crime. Pittsylvania County Police Department announced that Matthew Thomas Bernard, 18, has been arrested on three counts of first-degree murder. When police arrived on the scene, they were exposed to a woman lying on the driveway and later discovered the body of another woman and a child inside the home. They tracked Bernard down in the woods. Our prayers of peace are with the family
  18. 24/7. I heard that there is a 20 cd collection being released. I wonder which song they'll pick!
  19. Excellent! I'm going to re-watch the Illinois game tonight. Starting the tailgate tonight.
  20. Yeah, let's not forget the TRUE football king of the North, Notre Dame! Long game, good outcome.
  21. Nice Truck! You say there's a trailer in that picture? J/k. Great job. Enjoy in health and victory!
