  1. I actually think that UCF stuck it in and broke it off. Alabama hasn't played an away game in thirty years (neutral site excepted). They are so pissed at UCF that they break a thirty year tradition just to sign with UCF's rival? Now, who in the SEC is going to go against Saban and now schedule one and ones? They may have just lost the SEC for a while. UCF seriously overestimated their position. If they don't sign some SoS games quickly, they may well be in trouble. I don't understand pissing off the same people who you are going to approach hat in hand and ask for a seat at the table. A lot like our Big 4 bill board, a little success can go to your head. But I think their AD has done some substantial damage relationship-wise along with their fans and media. The whole P6 embarrassment, self proclaimed Natty, alienating the other coaches in your conference, only considering one and ones, and pissing off the great Saban. I am beginning to understand why they are not Preeminent over there.
  2. You might be overestimating the cache of an AAC championship. Most casual fans don't even know what conference we are in.
  3. They will trickle in if we beat P5 teams, especially at home. But you are right - to meet our potential, we have to move up. I believe that these two for ones will give at least the chance of making enough of a racket that people will notice.
  4. Sunday mornings, grab the paper, a good Dominican cigar, Costa Rican peaberry coffee, medicate, and see what the people who still believe in reality are doing.
  5. Could you explain the clown comment? I've not seen a reason to denigrate her. She has done great things here at USF.
  6. John, if we don't win one of the first two, and having a couple of years between the 2nd and 3rd games, and figuring Saban may not be the coach seven years from now, could be a new AD in that time frame, then there would be no reason for their fans to want to see a second beatdown at their house. I think they opt for another foe after playing us two times. I think they have confidence that they could offer another team on short notice and seal the deal. It's all guessing at this point, but there are a few variables that make me believe that we may come out with a one and one and receive a buyout.
  7. Might help with SoS. Win the P5 games and SoS becomes pretty important. Ask the "National Co-champs" in Orlando.
  8. You, sir, have let it go. I have just a little too much Sicilian in me
  9. Hold on. The oldtimers here would probably love the occasional Southern Miss beatdown for paybacks in voting to keep us out of the CUSA. That p.o.'d alot of people. Probably the same people who are pissed that we didn't keep UCiF out of the AAC

  11. Interesting point. The last game is seven years from now, although I thoroughly expect that one to be bought out by them. Maybe the last game will be against Taggart as Alabama's new coach!
  12. He gets it. He must have gone to a Florida Preeminent University. The others who can't see it? Well, they went to a less academically qualified school like UCF.
  13. I only see it if we win one of the first two. I think they will jump for a higher profile program for the last game. We'll see. It's all conjecture at this point. After playing them here and there in so short of a time, I hope it IS bought out.
  14. I don't think we will ever see the last game. So we get a one for one and a mill or two. What was UCiF insisting we do? A one for one and no mill or two? I think we just trumped anything Central State will schedule anytime soon.
  15. UCiF calls out Bama repeatedly, claims a Natty, perceives that it is above our scheduling and Bama chooses us. The cute crazy girl is passed over for the girl you just know is going to grow up beautifully. This is putting a middle finger in UCiF's eye.
  16. I'm interested in this answer, also. A lot of people have attributed the performance to many things.
  17. Wonderful...We certainly are keeping good company these days.
  18. Ole Baghdad Bob! God, he had a greatest hits album out in just inside two days. I heard he is mentoring Kelly Ann Conway
  19. I don't know...I had one of those DNA things done and it tells me that none of my descendants will be using this college...
  20. I would never bet against the Yankees or the Patriots. I also wouldn't bet against Milton. These kind of stories are neat to healthy people but necessary to someone going through trauma. His recovery will positively influence many others who may doubt that they have what it takes to begin a long recovery. If all of these people loved him, then why, in the name of God, did they let him go to UCF? j/k
  21. Yup. My Grandfather was born in Sicily. You don't mess with the family or you get "paid a visit".
