  1. Great giveaway......so long as we do not get sent to the International Bowl....then you will get to see outher teams play, but not the Bulls. (See fine print on ad)
  2. For those still considering a trip to the Kansas game, Southwest has a Ding valid until 11:30 pm EDT tonight that will get you roundtrip from Orlando to KC for $97.10 per person. Leaving early Sat. morning on Flight 1496 and returning early Sunday morning on Flight 1809. Other flight options available. This is a really good deal. Hope to see lots of my fellow Bulls out there.
  3. Big Props to the STUDENTS. They were loud numerous, and, most importantly, STAYED THE ENTIRE GAME! I do not know if that was partly because we were down at halftime, but regardless, in every year prior a good 1/3 to 1/2 of the students would clear out around halftime. Not this time. Lets hope that as the games get better the students begin to take over the entire stadium. This was my first game as a season ticket holder. I sit in section 133 and you would think we were at a wake, not a football game. Next season I definitely want seats closer to the students. I need to feel the energy. 4th and 2 and no one is standing to cheer on the defense....come on.
  4. Lets be happy it was NcNeese State and not Penn State. We have one more week to get the kinks worked out. If we see the same bonehead mistakes next week, then I will be petrified going to O-Town.
  5. On his second TD throw, they said it was his third reciever he went to. That may be, but I am skeptical it was the case.  Need to look at the play by play, or watch the replay on Catch 47. I said the same exact thing to my wife about him following one receiver the entire play. But the trend that I saw with him is that he telegraphs the timing patterns, but not every pass. There were a few passes to Cedric Hill that were clearly timing routes and MG clearly followed him the entire play with his eyes. He is young, but promissing. Lets all reserve judgment a few more weeks. By the Kansas game we can annoit him the second coming of Blackwell....hopefully!
  6. http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/5911440 "1. Central Florida and South Florida (tie) In 15 years, one of these two programs will be as nationally significant as Miami and FSU. South Florida has the edge being in the Big East and not Conference USA, but both programs are on the cusp of big things in the near future. This "the next Miami" or "next FSU" theory has been tossed around before with these two schools, but with both reaching bowls last season, the idea finally holds as much traction in reality as it does in EA Sports' NCAA Football dynasty mode." We are the top program on the rise, but why do they have to taint it with the little redheaded stepchild of a program to our east. Come on America, wake up, we are BCS, we will win the BE in the next 4 years, we will be America's Sweethearts. UCF, they might be East Division champs again!
  7. I will finally breakdown and ask permission to enter the fiery pit of hell that is the Dumbgeon....please
  8. I'm kind of feelin' The Gore Corps......nice ring to it
  9. 106 Row X here.....looking forward to shattering more shallow dreams this year!
  10. Okay, so lets say it is only 40 or 50 k, I know someone who just got season tickets after being on the waitlist for 5 or 6 years. That is still quite a few potential fans/season ticket holders. If we were only to get a 2-3% response to that initiative it would still be in the neighborhood of 1000 new season ticket holders. I'm just saying that just putting commercials and billboards out there is nice, but targeted marketing is much more effective.
  11. I think that targeted marketing is the best approach. Something like sending a season ticket special out to all of those on the Bucs season ticket wait list. I mean there is waiting list of over 100,000 fans.....first of all that is amazing. Second of all, there must be some in there that are just rabid sport/football fans who wouldn't mind getting a great deal to BCS football. In the end the leason we have learned in Tampa Bay is that in order to get any sort of support, you must be a winner. The Bucs and the Lightning both saw amazing leaps in fan support by winning. I think the same will hold true after USF's first trip to a BCS bowl. Next year????
  12. I think the situation is being handled in a manner that should be acceptable to all. These guys are so entrenched in Leavitt's doghouse they will have to be angels (and have been angels) throughout the duration of this ordeal to even sniff the playing field. USF Football is a family and this is a family problem. Nobody was arrested, nobody was physically hurt. If the USF Family chooses to allow these players to play after a two game suspension, I say so be it. They are still one strike away from being kicked off the team regardless of whether they are suspended for two games or six games. And for all of those attacking a "double standard" for these privileged athletes, how many other students at USF are held to this standard? I received a free ride at USF and never had to undergo a drug test. The double standard is that these kids are held to a higher standard than any other student at USF. I think the punishment system is more than adequate and I also think that this is an internal "family" matter that should NEVER be reported publically. Allow people to speculate and throw around rumors, but at then end of the day you have to protect your family.
  13. The guy making the comments was not exactly "classy". He took a stab at our program saying we are cocky and think we are the second coming of Notre Dame. It is one thing to say I think we can beat them because they have questions at QB and RB, but that is not what was said. Remember, we are "totally over rated." I have nothing but respect for fans like Doc that come with some knowledge and friendly banter, but do not take shots at our program and our players.
  14. I actually think I remember this guy posting that he would not make it to the game.
  15. Some are predicting a win over USF.... "I see Toledo as a loss and USF as a W. Toledo is strong, and USF lost a lot and will be VERY cocky. They think they are the next Notre Dame." 6082.107 in reply to 6082.106 "I'm telling you , THEY ARE TOTALLY OVER RATED... Toledo is GOOD. Almost as good as USM, and picked to win the MAC by some. Se can sneak up on USF in week one. But NOT week 4. The cat will be out of the bag by then." It seems to be the same fan. It must be fun to be that delusional. Imagine the conversations he must have with himself.... ;D
  16. Everyone remember the old live action Masters of the Universe Movie with Dolf Lundgren???? I think the owner of the Bucs made a cameo in it:
  17. Even down on our knees we all still tower above that troll Malcolm.... ;D
  18. He is a God amongst mere mortals. All of that talk of Lefty catching him and challenging him for best golfer in the world....Where is Lefty at in this one? +8 in 71st place. Tiger will break all of the records and then most likely ride of into the sunset, leaving a legacy and major brand name to live off of the rest of his life, a la Michael Jordan.
  19. What, my word is not good enough.... My bad, I always forget the link. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/preview06/news/story?id=2560901
  20. No, lower, more like $50 million (assuming the land and the malls in the other locations are equally as valuable). The package they were selling was 5 malls. so take a fifth of the $270 million price tag or thereabouts.
  21. Louisville in the Orange and WVU in the Rose. Would be awesome, even more awesome if it were USF in the Orange. Projecting USF in Toronto at the International Bowl
