Smazza, I can't believe how incredibly tough you are on Leavitt for "not having control over his program." Weren't you suspended by the California Bar for a year for not having control over your practice?

Nope... we don't have a lot of size back there.  Do we even have a Fullback? That is what I was wondering all game long against FIU and UCF. If we do not have a serviceable one, place Bleakley back there as a FB and allow him to try and create a hole in the middle for one of our RBs out of an I-form set. That way Smith, Williams, Dorsey, Denson, Randolph, Julmiste, Erskin, or whoever else we try back there doesn't have to worry about finding a hole, just follow your lead blocker.

If he is 175, then I weigh 300 lbs.....which I don't. ;D He looks awefully tiny to me. I like the idea of using Denson at RB. His speed and knowledge of the offense would help. I like the idea of a few designed plays for Ean to keep the defense on its heels, but we need a consistant between the tackles running threat aside from Grothe.

I like the idea of running the option with him, but never, ever, ever should he be running between the tackles. He would get killed. A reverse gives him open field to work with and at worst, he gets tackled by a LB. I just don't see him as a viable option as an every down back. Courtney Denson on the other hand might not be so bad of an idea.

The time should not be an issue for anyone who gets off at 5 pm. Tailgating is nice and all, but i personally go for the football GAME. Any season ticket holder who does not show up for this one is not a true Bulls fan. (Unless of course your kid is playing on Friday night. But, if he is a benchwarmer, blow off his game and get to see our Bulls.)

I wasn't trying to be vulgar per se....I just can't think of anything good to shoot on them with other than the whole basketball not football thing which most of their fans would agree with anyways. There will be many of us, myself included, who will get to watch our win live in Kansas. Looking forward to Friday and the COOOOL weather.

In a previous thread I mentioned that credit needs to be given to RS. He set up that fake reverse pass with his play calling earlier in the game. It is not easy to pull off a trick play like that. You have to set it up, call it at the right time, and hope the players execute. The other praise I would give RS is using Kolby Erskin as a WR for that 29 yard gain over the middle. Brilliant. Line him up as an RB, then move him out into the slot where he gets a serious mismatch with a slow LB on him. The kid has some speed and heart, but I honestly thought we would never see him on the field again after the MSU game.

My wife and I will be there. Getting in Friday evening and flying out Sunday morning. $35 is WAyyyy too much for the AA tailgate.....I will attend my first when the y come down off that rediculous price.

Fins suck. The Jets are better then they are.....ha ha ha! We may suck too.....but I am not the envious little ***** trashing on another team while mine goes out and stinks up the field.

Just some thoughts about the offense that we have all, justifiably so, been very hard on the last 3 years. First, I saw some great play calling. Yes, the RB's couldn't do squat in the 1st half, but with a Freshman QB in there, you can't abandon the run. There were some great play calls, especially Jackson's fake reverse pass to Hill. Another AMAZING occurence almost led me to choke. As Colby Erskin emerged from the huddle I literally turned to my wife and said, "What the F-, I thought I would never have to see him try and play again!" Then he turns around and has a huge reception over the middle for 29 yards. Kudos to the coaches for finding a spot on the field for a kid who obviously has a lot of heart.

He is our savior....Oh we finally have a good QB...he is 5'2'' and runs faster than a speeding bullet. He is ranked #3 in the NCAA...blah,blah,blah No one is "being funny" when talking about MG's accomplishments. Just facts. nothing conjured or created like O'Liar's resume. No one was making up 40 numbers for him..... And your's wasn't nearly as funny as mine....but you should be used to finishing behind a USF Bull by now.

The D we faced last week from FIU is better than UCF's D, hands down. Faster and better tackling. The game will look as if it is in slow motion for Grothe tomorrow. And on another note, you are actually braggin about getting to Leak after he threw the ball last week. Looking for moral victories is pathetic.

How many yards did UF gain.....700? I think we should be good for at least 400 on that swiss cheese D. You gus might score a TD on us if your WRs could actually catch a pass as well as they catch a load from each other during pre-game orgies. :-*

People, people, people, you need to realize that playing at RJS is ONE of the many reasons for our teams meteroic rise to prominence onto the national scene. It is a great recruiting tool, as a local or state HS player gets to bask in the glow of the BEST stadium facilities around. Yes it would be nice to have an OCS and all the bells, whistles, and $$$ that comes with it, but in the meantime RJS has greatly and will continue to greatly help our fledgling program. I personally do not want to settle for a cut-rate, half-@ssed OCS. When the time does come to build one, in the next decade or so, I want it to be state of the art and top of the line. The envy of all those that come in to play. Until then.....sit back and relax in the creature comforts of RJS. For those who want the "college feel", do not go into the Club Area prior to, during, or after the game. Pretend to wait in line 10 minutes to use the bathroom. Pretend to wait in line 30 minutes to get a beer. Then you can get that "college feel".
