  1. http://oror.essortment.com/griefprocess_ryty.htm The UCF fans owe us a big thank you. It seems that this game has been quite theraputic for the Knights fans. In one week, we were able to help them move dramatically through the "Grief Process" From Stage One Denial (Leading up to the game), to Numbness (During the game), to Stage two Fear and Anger (leaving the game). Now it seems that the Knights are caught somewhere in between Depression and Stage Three understanding. By the end of this season, I think they will have all accepted their ineptitude and will finally MOVE ON!!!
  2. I really think that we will not be able to just run it down their throats. While I do think we can have success on the ground, expecially in the split back Hall -Ponton set, I really think we need to mix things up with some play actions and trick plays to keep the L'Ville Defense on its toes. Obviously we won't be running the vanilla offense we have seen the last two weeks, but I really hope to see some "controlled creativity" out there to kepp 'em guessing.
  3. Madden gave him big props, in that jumbled confusing Madden way, and said that he is a big reason for the improvement in the Dallas secondary. Madden shocked me an even made reference to big plays Henry came up with against the Chargers.
  4. If you look at both of Louisville's games, but especially the Oregon State game, they won because of stupid mistakes by the other team. Grant it they capitalized on those mistakes, but special team mistakes and stupid turnovers plagued Oregon State. If we keep the turnovers to a minimum 9by that I mean 0, 1 tops) and force a few of our own, Louisville is beatable. They will let you score with them, but you have to find a way to stop their offensive firepower.
  5. I would be shocked and amazed. There is the Tenn. at LSU game that is probably the best matchup in the nation. Then there is Ga Tech at Va. Tech. Iowa at Ohio St. might have gotten some consideration, but Gameday was already up there for the Texas game. That being said, if ever there was a week where we COULD be the featured sight for Gameday, it would be this one. There are very few marquee matchups. At this point, I would be happy with just a featured segment on Gameday and if we actually had it here, I just might have difficulty controlling my bowels. An interesting note: Gameday did pass on Florida v. Tenn to cover FSU v. BC, mainly beacuse it was BC's first ACC game. This would be the first BE game for both USF and UL, so who knows.
  6. I had to experience my first game away from the student section and instead sat in Section 137 with mostly donors/older alum. For the most part, they are absolutely clueless as to what is going on. I heard every imaginable conversation going on, EXCEPT for what was transpiring on the field. On more than one occassion I heard people say "Oh, how did we get the ball? I thought it was second down." This lack of attention has nothing to do with a lack of tradition. Additionally, these are likely the same old bags that go to the Bucs game and cheer when appropriate and pay attention. As a fan who loves to cheer and get up for the big defensive stands, it is disheartening to be the only one in a section cheering. I'm glad the school gets their $, but I would really like for these DONORS (they cannot be called fans) to get a clue or give their tickets up to someone who gives a **** about Bulls Football and creating a winning atmosphere.
  7. Although L'Ville obviously dominated the game against Oregon State, I do not know how much stock to put into that win. Oregon State beat a lowly Division II Portalnd State to start the season and then edged out a win againt a seemingly washed up Boise State team. While I would never be full of enough Hubris to come on this board and talk about how we will destroy UL, I do think that we can (and hopefully) will make it a competitive game, IMO.
  8. Just another example of a UCF-er talking out of their rearside.....which has to be swollen and sore after the stomping they took.
  9. Former Notre Dame coach? Maybe a former Notre Dame employee, but O'Liar, Notre Dame coach, gimme a break
  10. I don't know how many people keep up with the bulk of the college games being played, but Division II UC Davis just knocked off Stanford. UC Davis was coming off of losses to football powers New Hampshire and Portland State. CNN-SI picked this game as their mismatch of the week citing to a 50+ point blowout the last time the two teams met back in the 1930's or 1950's. (Wish I could find the link to the article) So, if there are any UCF fans lurking around here, it could be worse.
  11. I absolutely respect Louisville, but I do not think their offense is invincible. Kentucky, who does not have a good defense (they have given up 31, 29 , and 38 points in three games this year) held them to 31 points (L'Ville scored only 3 in the 2nd Half). If our defense can bottle up the run and our DBs continue to play their Bend But Don't Break Style, ala the Bucs, I think we can have a shot. Hold them under 35 points and who knows, we might just shock the world and set up a monumental road trip to UM.
  12. With Tennessee and Notre Dame losing today, Louisville is going to be ranked in the top ten (most likely #9). I remember when it was awesome just to get to PLAY a ranked team. Now, a top ten program is coming to our house. Shall we make it three straight record crowds? I hope Bull Nation gets out and gets loud for this game. A game that I think we legitimately have a chance of winning.
  13. I think that we will have 59+ minutes to make them realize that they can't stop Andre. But I just think it would be very opportunistic to go deep on the first play. Even if the play does not work out, we certainly will have their attention and hopefully make them respect the pass rather than crowd the box.
  14. What would be the first offenseive play you would run? For me it is a no-brainer. UCF is going to be overplaying Andre Hall, they have to. So I would line up in an I-Formation and run a play action pass to a streaking Payton for a touchdown.
  15. I have a reliabile source at the Citrus Bowl that UCF reports beverage refills for their collector's cups as collector cup sales. Refills account for nearly 10% of UCF's collector cup sales. This false reporting makes their concession sales look far more imprssive than they really are. Pathetic...just pathetic
  16. My dad would kick your dad's @$$....who cares. This is all meaningless banter, more meaningless than the usual crap that gets debated (poorly I might add) by the UCF-ers on this board. STK reminds me of a poorly endowed man who can't stop looking over the stall in the men's room and then goes running and telling everyone else that, while he might be tiny, there are other small men out there. Pathetic....just pathetic
  17. Thanks. I am about as computer illiterate as Knights fans are football illiterate.
  18. http://myweb.kingnet.com.tw/kenshamrock/img/gold41.jpg New to the board, not quite sure how to post a picture, but hopefully this link posts. Caption: "The Knights mascot performs the ceremonial nipple tweak after every touchdown!"
  19. Fear mixed with desperation is a beautiful scent on our opponents.....
