  1. In average yards per carry, barely trailing only USC and TEXAS. USC- 6.13 Texas- 6.05 USF- 5.97 Talk about some good company there.
  2. I think that it is a given that those who must work, attenda wedding, attend a funeral, have surgery, or are in labor are not the ones that USFFan is challenging to put up or shut up.... But those who do not fit within one of the above categories better have your ass in a seat at RJS!!!!
  3. You are not making any sense. Nowhere did I say that we were just a team for WVU to beat. In fact I said something to the contrary. Re-read the post and then we can discuss your thoughts.
  4. over analyzing gets us underrated? Sorry, do not follow what you mean by this at all
  5. Not to get ahead of ourselves here, but I stopped to look at WVU's performance so far this year and cannot say that I am too impressed. The last nine quarters of football they have played have been exceptional. They beat the snot out of two struggling teams in UC and UCONN, as they should. They also played very well in the fourth and OT versus UL. But look at the rest of their season. They lost by 17 to VT @ home. While that loss looked good before the UM/VT game, it does not look as good now. They only beat SU 15-7. It was the first game of the year, but come on...only 8 points over the Orange. They did have two good road wins @ Maryland by 12 and @ Rutgers by 13, but nothing overly impressive. Here might be one of the more telling games....They only beat ECU by 5 points, 20-15. I am not taking anything away from this team, but they really have not gone out and beaten any marquee programs, save the home squeaker against the Cards. Taking a look at their offense and one quickly finds that they are as one demensional as we are, with their two QB's only combining for 1100 yards passing, with 9 TDs and 5 INTs. I see our game with them (irrespective of whether it is for a BCS bid) being a very physical contest. I know it is stating the obvious, but if we protect the ball we should win. If you look at our games so far this year....3 losses=3 lost turnover battles. I guess my longwinded point is....do not fear the Mountain-Queers....they have something to prove by beating US, not the other way around!!!
  6. You couldn't hear them because you were being smacked in the ears on either side by those lame ass thundersticks.
  7. I really don't care about storming the field either way (although I was right in the mix after our first win over Louisville). But riddle me this....the University is so concerned about the safety of its fans that it continues to serve alcoholic beverages at its sporting events. I don't have any statistics, but pure logic would leave me to the conclusion that more injuries/deaths have occurred in college sports because of excessive drinking than storming the field. The only reason that colleges care.....$$$. Storming the field would be allowed if fans had to pay for a special "pass" in order to storm the field. If they tacked an extra $5 or $10 on to the price of the ticket for the right to go onto the field following a big win, storming the field would surely be allowed. Celebrating on the field with players following a SIGNFICANT/BIG win should be allowed....period. The senseless destruction of property (ie. Tearing down goal posts, flipping cars) is a serious crime and should be prevented or convicted. Please do not continue to confuse this hackneyed subject anymore than it already has been by linking storming the field with vandalism.
  8. Dennis Dodd is a Douche.... Let me get this straight, we would be undeserving with an 8-3 record, beating UL and WVU and having respectful showings on the road against UM and PSU. Who should go out of the Big East above us, the two "top" teams we would have beaten? Programs are "born" with wins like the one over UL and seasons like the one we could end up having. Ask Dodd what the perception was when Miami beat Oklahoma back in the 70's. And ask Va Tech if they feel they are a garbage team for losing to Miami by 20.....at home.....with their star RB on the sideline......Hester injured....and on primetime national TV.
  9. http://www.vegas.com/gaming/sportsline_ncaaf.html Stardust, MGM, and Caesar's has us as 2.5 point dogs and Stations has moved us to 1.5 dogs. With the 3 point home-field advantage rule, we are now favored, technically.
  10. Just keep pulling for Notre Dame to win out and make it to a BCS Bowl as an at-large team, that will free up another guarenteed bowl game for a Big East team, in the unlikely event that our Bulls don't win the BE.
  11. He is probably wishing they gave out the chamionship in the preseason, that would be his teams only way of winning it this year....and every year until they dump Wanny
  12. No Respect!!!! Just checked the early line of the USF v. UM game and the Stardust has UM as 21 point favorites. For you sports betters, jump aboard early on this one, because the line is likely to move down to 17-18 by weeks end with USF's strong showing against UL and UM's lackluster performance against Colorado.
  13. I couldn't agree more. I never understood the chant unless you are rated higher than the team you are destroying. I kept saying it in my section to the people chanting and they agreed and actually stopped.
  14. Let them overlook us, please. UM fans are the cockiest and some of the worst fans in all of college sports. We are going down to the slum that is Miami long enough to downgrade the Canes to a depression and then hightail it back to Tampa to start playing the games that really matter.
  15. I was appauled by the butality I saw. College students with nothing but good will looking to celebrate with THEIR team. What pisses me off more than anything were the blue shirted stadium security doing what they did. They do not have the right or authority to do that to anyone. The TSA deserves to be sued for this one. Protect the goalpost....yes, Brutally tackle celebrating college students....no. What made things even more ridiculous was the fact that they were only nabbing about 1 out of every 10 students. The entire fiasco was shameful. Not enough to ruin the most awesome night of Bulls-ball ever, but shameful nonetheless.
  16. Let me start by saying thank you for coming back the the board like men and congratulating us....very classy. Second, your fans were awesome, as I was setting up the girl for tailgatting my wife and her friend went walking around and some very nice Cards fans gave them some food and rapped with them about the Bulls for a little bit. I hope we both represent in the Big East the rest of the season (of course with you guys finishing just 1 game behind us) and show the rest of the nation that we are still a top notch conference.
  17. We won't be ranked until after our 10 point win over Miami next week. And that loss to the 4-0 Nitany Lions is not looking so bad now...
  18. So is past success indicitive of future performance? Because as it has been pointed out already, the series is tied at 1 to 1. Our entire team had an off game (off season for that matter) at Louisville last year. I hope your team is expecting a repeat performance from our players. Keep thinking that this is the same USF team you beat last year. Teams do not come to Ray Jay and blow us out. And as for my green goggles, yes they might be a little tight and cutting off the blood flow to my brain, but if I weren't wearing them I would not be as hyped as I am for this game and daring to smack talk in a game we are 3 TD dogs in. (Go ahead and put your savings on the Cards to cover....LOL)
  19. I believe the store that runs the website, Sports Fan Attic, has a location at University Mall (Tampa) and Tyrone Square Mall (St. Pete). Get the number to one of the locations and find out how to get in touch with someone who handles their online orders. ÂÂ
