  1. Oh, so a team beating you (accounting for your only loss) and ruining your chances of going to a BCS Bowl game didn't ruin your season. Well that kind of takes some of the fun out of the loss we are going to hand your team tomorrow....
  2. CE.com, I am amazed at how well you type while making love to a sheep. Very impresive. And the "innertube immigrants" tend to stay down in Miami. But you should know that since they ruined your season last year.
  3. I love Kentucky; 4 Million People, 10 Last Names
  4. Possible scenario is to move Georgia v. Miss. St. game (7:45 pm) from ESPN 2 to ESPN. That would free up ESPN2 to either show another game or to rerun Raymer's fat ass winning the '04 WSOP. If ESPN were smart, they would move the Louisville/USF game to ESPN or ESPN2 and broadcast it as an ESPN U game, the entire broadcast promoting the new channel and the great games that they will carry. Im not a TV Exec, but it would seem like a prudent decision.
  5. I know it has been addressed numerous times on the board before, but can someone give me a quick primer as to which lots open and at what times, It would be greatly appreciated
  6. STK is not a bus driver E.T., he is a bag boy....
  7. The Signs would help clarify any confusion between "Loser" and "Louis" Also, I don't think anybody would think that 33,000 bulls fans were chanting Louisville
  8. I am not saying that DirecTV does not have subscribers who are happy with their services. However, if you were to take away those that subscribe solely because of the NFL Sunday Ticket it would cripple their company. Jim, the entire situation reeks of anti-trust. There might be overtures now that there is competitive bidding occurring, but that has not been the case the entire time. Trust me, if the situation were thoroughly investigated, heads would roll. Also, ESPN News is carried on digital cable by Brighthouse, not apart of basic cable. ESPN HD is only offered with the HD Pack (the only reason I have the HD Pack) ESPN is willing to let the providers carry their network so long as they get paid. The problem is the cheap ass cable companies that won't pay the money.
  9. Heard on ESPN this morning, Gasmeday is going to Blacksurg to cover the Va Tech v. Ga Tech matchup. I am sure that if there was another hurricane about to hit Virginia we would have gotten Gameday here in Tampa....**** it all
  10. Ticketmaster is down to their last few sections of club level tickets (Section 232; 100 Level is sold out), only section 115 is available at the $24 price point and the best seats available at the $20 price point vistor endzone is 124 row M (the 200 level is sold out at the $20 price point. Bottom Line: There are not that many tickets left for this game. I am willing to bet there are less than 3000 seats remaining in the lower bowl. That would mean 38,000 already. Any sort of walk up could produce a sell out (actual attendance is always another story) With the way they are plugging this game on Clear Channel radio stations (Heard commercials on 620, 98 Rock, and 93.3 on my ride into work alone) I would be surprised with anything less than 40 k
  11. Just an honest observation: Troy v. South Carolina = Trojans v. Cocks
  12. And if we wanted to take the negative spin (ala UCF "17" signs) we could always have "LOSER" on one side of the stadium and "VILLE" on the other.....There is your non-Green-Gold chant....
  13. I am still partial to ANDRE THE GIANT. Plus if we could get the nickname to stick we could try and convince them to show a clip of the "real" Andre slamming someone to the mat after "our" Andre breaks a big run or plows over a would-be tackler.
  14. This is a topic that has bothered me for quite sometime: The way NFL Sunday Ticket is currently handled violates our Nation's anti-trust laws. If the FCC wanted to crack down on the situation, they could. The problem is that NFL Sunday Ticket is the only, and I mean ONLY, thing keeping DirecTV in business. Cable companies are not given the option to bid on the package and that leads to incredibly higher costs to the consumer. I am willing to bet that if cable providers were allowed to bid on the NFL Sunday Ticket, the price would drop to price to $200 or less (it runs around $300 right now). I am not sure exactly how ESPN has been negotiating the ESPN U contracts, but so long as they allow competitive bidding, I am sure it is legal. The problem is getting these cable companies to pony up the $$$. They offer over 200 channels of crap, because they don't pay anything for them. All of those digital channels are garbage and they pay tnths of cents per subscriber. The problem with ESPN U is that it is a real channel and ESPN is not giving it away. Heaven forbid the cable companies carried a channel they could not profit off of.
  15. Oh yeah, well you guys will be lucky to hold us to 42
  16. Offense was definitely great against OSU Saturday, but your defense and special teams helped. Something like 4 fumbles, an INT returned for a touchdown and a blocked punt that led to a touchdown. Obviously this is not an indictment of your offense, but rather praise for your team as a whole. With that being said, if we can win the turnover battle the came should be close. Your offense can go shot for shot, but your defense gives up enough points to allow us to stay in this one. And as for who is better overall between Bush and Hall, I could care less so long as Hall is better Saturday night.
  17. The bottom line is this, your D-Line is smaller, pound for pound, than our O-Line, so you can put "small" in quotation marks, it is a fact. While your defense is good, they have accrued most of their sacks because teams have fallen behind you guys so quickly and are forced to become one demensional (I believe OSU had 50+ pass attempts). If we are forced to pass more than 30 times, it means that we got blown out of the water. However, if we are able to carry 35+ times during the game, it means that we are running well and controlling things offensively. I'm not saying we are going to run all over you guys, but do not expect to hold our rushing attack under 100 yards, because that is not going to happen. I am looking for a more balanced USF attack, something like 25-28 passes and 35-40 rushes. If we are around those numbers, we should be in the game until the end.
  18. Not sure if anyone caught it today, but in the midst of talking about, what else, Gambling, he mentioned a barrage of E-mails he has been exchanging with a "USF fan" (a.k.a. E.T.) for the past two weeks. He then went on to brag who he knew what the line of the USF Louisville game would be before it was posted. Good job E.T., your seemingly endless free time is at least keeping USF Football fresh in The Big Dog's mind....
  19. I still say if it is going to be about Hall, it has to be Andre the Giant. It is easily understood and easy to remember
  20. The Trib is so bad and poorly written that my cats refuse to do their business on it
  21. This game, like most games, will be won in the trenches. While I know speed kills, I offensive line shows that size matters too. Lousiville only has one "big" defensive lineman, Okoye, who tops 300 lbs. All of USF's starting O-Linemen are 300 lbs +. Kentucky played Louisville with a grossly undersized O-Line (not one starter over 300 lbs) and Louisville's speed killed them. While Oregon State's O-Line was a little bigger, they are not near the size of our line. Additionally, their line is very young, with some of their biggest players being their freshmen. With all that being said, our O-Line will be the toughest test yet for Louisville's fast, but undersized D-Line. I look for this to be a very competitive game.
  22. I agree with pumpimg up Andre. I must say that I like the H2 idea, but I am not sure that everyone will get it. Something more direct like: Hall of Fame or Andre the Giant Might be more effective, even if it is less creative
