  1. well at least next week you wont have to worry about any plays like this where the game is on the line! we'll just be losing by 3 touchdowns by the end of the 1st quarter, makes it less stressful the rest of the way....
  2. oooof. that's interesting... i hope he's not mentally checked out. but im sure the thought of transferring to a school that isnt 1-23 against FBS is on his mind....
  3. this season was over, 10 seconds after it started. oh and look, another picture of Matthew Hill running behind a defender struggling to keep up! we tend to only see pictures of him doing this, because he's just so great! edit: and my prediction for the rest of the season... yeah no idea anymore. I am sure someone on the team will figure out the whole winning thing. but like I mentioned elsewhere, could be against Tulane, could be against rice next season, who knows. nothing has really changed about this team, so therefore our expectations should not be changing as well. they will continue to lose unless they change.
  4. -10?? that is crazy. I was expecting some sort of 3 score margin. someone must see CJS' record against the spread and say it needs to come back down to earth haha
  5. from the looks of it, Gerry was pretty intent on that pass. he couldve made that one yard up the middle just seeing the blocks. but hindsight is 20/20. I dont like the playcall there, at all.
  6. the stadium might help a little bit but our capacity might need to be reduced to like 20k because no one wants to watch our team go 1-22 against FBS opponents in 3 seasons
  7. Combusti-bull, temperature of the center of a 100 megaton thermonuclear explosion H O T USF athletics will continue to USF the s*** out of this, CJS will get maybe one more win, and we'll hold on to him through next season acting like 1-22 against FBS opponents in year 3 is improvement
  8. the only thing USF can gameplan is how to try to keep it within 4 scores. Assume the Cincy offense will score every drive, save 1 or 2 that end in mistakes/punts. Maybe get some pressure mixed in with different looks. offensively it's get the ball to jimmy horn, and if he's double covered, sling it to the next best man and force them to adjust. avoid the crappy read option runs up the middle on second and long. with this, you maybe lose by 21 points at best against a team like cincy. realistically 30+ point margin.
  9. I try not to blame MK too much. There are many positives and advancements. But, the actual results are deafening. USF football has been, and continues to be among the worst FBS programs in the nation the past few years. Last year, MBB was the worst offensive team in the conference, and I think one of the worst in the entire nation. all of this occurs while being situated in one of the best recruiting hotbeds in the country. both coaches of said trash programs have extensions. this would be a different conversation if MBB was at least good. we could pivot our hopes into another "major" sport (yes, WBB is great, just running on the mens teams here) - but nothing major is good. maybe baseball? soccer? but those dont drive the dollars like MBB & football. we dont even look like a D1 team. how is this possible in a market like tampa bay? how?!
  10. if he isnt fired after this game, what will it take? we'll lose next week, and probably all the games after that. when do they finally move on?
  11. he still has no idea what he's doing. same stuff every loss.
  12. he knows but he also gave him & Gregory an extension (both losing coaches) normal fanbases are vocal after losing 2-3 suspicious games we're 21(?) in and twiddling our thumbs
  13. I dont think positivity actually helps anything at the current moment fans have to speak out and let the frustration be heard. enough is enough, we should be losing like this every game.
  14. i'm here to say it again fire jeff scott and rebuild again this is the worst team USF has ever fielded, not even worthy of FBS level play
  15. when we win more than 1 FBS game, i'll come back into this thread and get hype
  16. really cool to see they went as far as painting the field for us! really appreciate the sportsmanship
  17. yes and no she had other priorities, like making us a research powerhouse and developing an academic enterprise. That has worked as planned and I envision we soon compete with FSU for the top 2 uni in florida. the first USF president wanted nothing to do with athletics either. it's in our DNA to neglect football.
  18. absolutely! UCF's academic enterprise doesnt really have an identity, other than online education. As an ASU Sun Devil I can relate to the larger school, but ASU has it in our charter to be "measured by success of our students rather than by exclusion." This has led to top business, law, media, and engineering programs despite the large enrollment, as well as being #1 in the country for innovation (research opportunities). UCF doesnt compliment their large enrollment with anything other than.. wanting numbers. USF is taking the right approach by having a great academic enterprise but now it's time to get the athletics train going The "U" in USF stands for university, after all... we should be proud to be ranked highly.
