    I don't believe we had the level of players needed to execute. I never had a problem with his game day decisions, I feel like we had all of 2 offensive weapons and nothing to support them consistently. Our team was in horrible shape and I don't think Nick Saban could have done anything productive with that group. You have to build the foundation and restock the cupboard. I believe Cwt has done that and will prove all of his doubters wrong. Just watch.

    All this talk about cwt losing his job boggles my mind. According to all the crying on here we're just a quarterback away, that quarterback is on the bench right now waiting to play. He's restocked the shelves and changed the culture. Are we really going to do him like the glaciers did Dungy??? I know you're a season away from the promise land but someone else needs to take your team there... CWT isn't going anywhere no matter how Quinton plays.

    I agree but will go one step further and say 9-3 since ECU no longer poses a threat, since their quarterback went down and they have no real replacement.

    I will say after watching the highlights from the SMU game I'm not worried at all especially when he is said to be better than that now. People are acting like we said Bobby Eveld is our starting quarterback or something.

    Giant Slayers? When in the world has this team in the last 2 years looked like a "giant slayer"? I would sayou the first half of the Wisconsin Gmne they looked insane. There were glimpses in the Maryland game. Ok maybe not "giant slayers" but to me they looked like they could pay with ANYONE successfully.

    Would you feel better about the offense if the only problem was executing plays? What if you watched game film and realized that the proper plays were called but poorly executed? What if we have a really good but horribly inconsistent offense? Instead of taking the easy road and calling for Willie's job, tell me what you would do differently to better this team. Let's assume we all would want a better quarterback, what else would you do? I'm just curious. I do believe we have productive practices, I believe that they work hard, I believe that the coaches are adapting, maybe it's just something about the lights...

    I had some UCIF fans saying the exact opposite. How Taggart is a great hats working coach who deserves time... Guess it depends on where you sat in the sea of black and gold.

    Most of the naysayers have a problem with subtracting facts to make their case. If you take away this, then Mack sucks. If you take away this or offense has gotten worse, if you factor this in then our win total has gotten worse. My goodness you people love to pout. We aren't as bad as we were, abs if the conference is wise then so be it, I'm sure the conference chaos won't have an Asterix next to their name on the trophy that says best of the worse.

    This wasn't the same Memphis team. It was a challenge and was supposed to be. The record from previous years doesn't matter because once a team figures it out they are a force to be reckoned with. Probably the same thing people said about us in the past. Just because we were "usf" doesn't mean we played like it.

    I'm actually not mad at our team right now. Some of you are crazy complaining about that field goal... last week we went for it when it made sense and you hated it, now he takes the points and you're mad...

    You people crack me up. We can't afford to fire him and we are SUPPOSED/Expected to lose today. They are a better team all around. So all you'll are doing is trying to boost yourselves up with I told you so's. We beat the people we were supposed to beat, and can potentially beat some we aren't supposed to. I support cwt and I do see a difference in this team. Not a consistent difference but a positive one.

    Heart. This team has heart which is something they haven't had in a while. They are also pleasantly and heartbreakingly inconsistent. The fact that they can look like a great (used loosely) team at times is hopeful. They look horrid at times too, but those moments where they look good are new to this team. I mean coming from the days of of Bobby E and Matt Floyd... where we couldn't beat the worse teams and didn't even look like we wanted to is improvement. I honestly believe this team is headed in the right direction.

    Winning is extremely embarrassing. You people blow my mind. Do you remember how bad we were under the back end of Holtz. Do you remember Bobby E. And Matt Floyd? Do you remember how or team found ways to lose and looked completely lost on the field. Now we look inconsistent, sometimes we look like a garbage fire abs others we look like giant slayers. We have the potential to put it all together and that's on the coach. I think he can continue to turn it around.

    I have a theory: We may be so bad that we get everyone else's best performance. They circle us on the calendar as a beatable team, so they put together their best games just for us. Just like people do against the top teams. I believe statistics mean nothing when you step on the field. I'm believe SMU doesn't go out saying we're the worst team in fbs so let's play like it. They said we beat this team one and we can do it again. They are getting better every week and will eventually beat someone. Just like UConn did to Ucif... just glad it wasn't us this time.

    Hindsight is 20/20. I thought that going for it on 4th instead of taking the 3 points was bold. I mean if he didn't people would have complained saying he coaches too conservatively, it's SMU for crying out loud. Since we went for it and didn't convert people will complain that we should have taken the points... He can't win. Either he has balls or he's a wimp.

    Some people are never satisfied. We won, it wasn't pretty but we won. Please tell me what you would have done differently this game to make it better as a coach? He didn't Chop block anyone, fumble any balls or muff any kicks. The game plan was adjusted after the half and the players executed. I can honestly say it's been about execution the majority of our games. Critiquing is ok but don't complain about everything, it's not good for your health.

    Long story short it's not an apples to apples comparison of offensive powers. I dare say we may look worlds better playing against weaker defenses.

    I'm sure the level of competition you play drastically affects your offense rating. If the defenses you play suck and your putting up lottery numbers every game then your offense is ranked very high. If you run through some tough defenses that make you truly earn every first down and pay for every offensive hiccup then your numbers aren't as great. It's simple, most teams we've played thus far didn't do us any favors on offense.
