  1. Purely form memory: USF UCF UConn (?) Cincy Houston That's all I could get before having to look up who is in this conference. XD
  2. I'll be going. Might as well have one student there to cheer.
  3. Not on a scale that would've allowed more students to ride it. Could that be because of a lack of demand? Doubtful. The bus services you're referring to were 9-10 of the large buses at best. Those seat, what, 40-50 apiece? Out of an 12500 seat section? The scale wasn't ever there. As for the mishandling of funds, I'm referring to his general handling of money matters for USF athletics. I didn't say he handled it fraudulently. You can hand out idiotic contract extensions to under-performing coaches without it being a fraudulent transaction. Don't forget the fact that the buses leave for the stadium a considerable amount of time before the game and don't come back to the stadium for pickup until 15 minutes after the game (this was based on the ONE time I used the system this year, couldn't stand it). The bus system is a mess. They could at least have a continuous system through the game for laggards or those who wish to return to campus early for whatever reason. USF has done a crap job at advertising locally. The main revenue-earning teams are God-awful as of late. There is no incentive for the average student to attend a game! I can think of ten things to do on campus that would be more fun than watching us lose big time at basketball or humiliate ourselves at football. Change the culture around USF athletics. We spend big (student-paid-for) money, but lose big games. The original article posted sounds good (even if it is about That Team up North), but only if we start winning. Otherwise the loyalty points won't matter.
  4. I'm sure it will balance out. If people show an unwillingness to show up to the big-name schools games then they will make changes to get them to return. We just need to find what will get people to show up. Marketing techniques will help. Decreasing ticket prices/food prices/ parking prices will help. Its about selling the game to the students and fans. Make it more interesting to attend the game than to watch it at home. Also the economy has been rather crap the last 6 years or so and football attendance is not high on everyone's priority list. Fix the economy (easy, right?), Win games, and market them to the fans. People will come. They always do. The numbers will probably grow as they have in the past. But then that's just my take.
  5. I mean, if it happened, sure we could be a bubble team. NCAA likes a hot team with good wins. But we would need to make it decently deep into the AAC tourney and then be at the mercy of the NCAA. That said, we don't stand a snowball's chance in hell.
  6. Went to the game. After the final buzzer me and the guys beat it out of there like a bat-out-of-hell just to be safe XD Suspenseful game. Not our prettiest, but not the worst either. I'll take that win and shooting 50% from the field.
  7. WHY?? How many NCAA's did he take us How many state of the art basketball facilities did he have? How many brand new arenas did he have? How many of us realize continuing down this particular path is pointless? Is that Hermoine?? .... Turned out rather nicely. I'd like to continue down THIS path.....
  8. I was unaware Coach Heath's middle name was "FN." I will make note of this for future discussions.....
  9. I'm thoroughly surprised by the play in here so far. Just have to keep that momentum going.
  10. Expansion of the new OCS. This and p5 invite That, this, and whether we think the OCS is super cool or needs to be torn down and rebuilt because we can never be satisfied.
  11. Can we see a little effort? Come on lets go and play. I never see it anymore, out on that floor, Its like we've gone away! In all seriousness though, We were keeping in this game up until the last 5 minutes or so. We just can't shoot to save our lives.
  12. Still very inefficient shooting from us. We can't keep shooting below 40% every game and expect to stay in it. Also.....we still can't cover the 3's.....
  13. Not as good as Publix. Are we doing this again? Because I REALLY want to do this again. :3
  14. I'll take the gold one. Maybe more people will show up. People like shiny things. :3
  15. The last time I was at the Wok, parking was FREE! Sure, if you like parking a 45 minute walk from the stadium. Unless you get there hours before kickoff, finding a place to park is a knightmare. You have to go from one dinky lot to another until you find an open spot. Parking at UCF is just one of the things that make it a poor gameday experience. Maybe you haven't been to a college football game on a campus before..... it's an all day event... That's part of the problem at RJS... you can walk right up and not make a day of it on campus... visit the bookstore... tailgate... see the campus... Parking won't be an issue. UofL is successful program, Their game day experience is entirely different from what you are describing. How many times will the average season ticket holder..visit the bookstore..explore the campus? IMO, most will do just what they do at RJS...those that tailgate will continue to just that, and those who arrive and head directly into the stadium will continue to do that. Compared to RJS, parking/ingress/egress will be a nightmare Is Athletics getting rich from sales in the Team Store at the Dome? I always thought that having an OCS might help with getting people to look at the campus. Visit the place. Have people from the city (assuming we are winning and they are coming) explore the campus and perhaps make future college decisions. Right now, our biggest sport is off campus, our campus isn't f That said, parking needs to be adjusted on campus if we get an OCS. It can be terrible. And we need another larger set of parking decks.
  16. More of a "New AD Goals" article, but they made valid points in favor of an OCS. But again. Winning is what we need.
