USF Bulls 2013-2014 sports: A lesson in humility

We are getting rofl-stomped. On ESPNU no less. At first I was pissed to have all this work this evening preventing me form going. Now I see it as a blessing in disguise. Those poor saps at the Sundome must be ready to vomit.....

We'd still have to compete with UF, FSU, Miami, UCF and others for fans. We might attract more casual fans when we are winning out of sheer convenience, but losing has the same result we are seeing now.

Not when it comes to smoking weed or marijuana. I lived in Holly last year and our roommate was terrible. He would sit in his room and smoke all day and make it a near unlivable environment. We tried to get the RA to make him stop, but the RA can only ask him through the door if he refuses to open it. UP got called up after a shouting/threatening match between my other roommates and our weed-smoking roomie. He locked the door before they got there and despite the fact they could smell it and we showed them evidence of his smoking activities they said they still couldn't open the door on him. I'll never understand it. We got him kicked out in April after we proved he stole money from us and threatened us. UP wanted to help, but it always seemed like their hands were tied so they could never take any real action. Super-irony is that this kid tried to walk-on to the football team last year and failed. That's what kicked off his smoking.

Never seen or heard about undercover cops before... And I have quite a few RA friends and several friends with UP run ins.. Don't think their are actual undercover officers on campus, just RAs Nah. If you smoke in your room in the Holly Dorms they can't come in your room to search without your consent. Even with all the evidence in the world, they still need your consent to enter your room. RA's are laid back about smoking on campus as long as it doesn't bother others.

More than likely they are just trying to make it more community/student-oriented. That place doesn't make me feel 100% safe or comfortable and there isn't much in the way of variety in stores. After the theatre closed students couldn't go for a quick movie and they don't get much business anymore. Not going to knock the possibility, I just don't see it happening.

Columbus has a good program. He'll do well there.

If I were to get caught with that much weed the school could take away my academic scholarships. Should be no different with athletic scholarships.

Gonna root for San Fran tonight. A lot of connections to the Bulls there. (Plus they have Phil Dawson, he's a class act all the way and a former Cleveland Brown)

We either need to step it up on the 3's or do what we did tonight and almost actively avoid them. That being said, we need to defend opponents making 3's or they will kill us like they have all year. If we take fewer 3's on a team that can't make them, we can avoid wasting possessions on the court and potentially put some 2's up there. 2 points is better than none.

If we red-shirt AC, we can gauge the future of Heath on next year's play. He clearly wasn't ready for AC to be out this year. If AC can play for us next year and we do well (NIT-ish level) then we can say he is safe. If he tanks, he might be on the hot seat the following season. But I don't think we can really think about Firing Heath. He got us to an NCAA Tournament 2 years ago. Last year was bad and this year isn't looking much better, but we lost a lot last year and we have so many issues with injuries and lineups this year. Stan can be a good coach when he has all the pieces together. He just needs time to work this out.

No. This isn't a legal cause of action that requires the element of damages. You violate a rule, even if it is deminimus and doesn't result in a positive outcome, it is still a violation. This isn't a civil infraction, the NCAA is a regulatory body Exploitative Money-Machine. Fixed it for you

I'd like for us to do better at 2-pt shooting and 3-pt defense. If we can manage those two, we can win these games. But alas. We hold onto the ball too long and we leave opponents wide open for 3's.

Its not insurmountable, but man. We ought to own this game. They have almost given us a win the way they have been playing.

Wish we would cover the three point shots better. Its been a weak area all year.

We went 8-22 on 2-pt shooting. Though we went 1-4 on 3's, glad to see we aren't wasting possessions trying to make them all the time. Just need better accuracy. This is one of the better teams in the country we are facing. If we can hang on and win this, it would be big for this season.
