It's going to be a tough sell getting quality JuCo guys in. There is absolutely no way you can convince an upperclassman on the idea of playing for a winner until years after he's gone. Your only pitch is playing time.

For this year, it seems a smart move may to have extensive tryouts on campus before classes get out, with the offer of a scholarship the enticement. You've got 8, as of 3/30/2017 10:39 AM, for the upcoming year .... although they've got to give one to Jake now.

Playing time is the main thing JC players look for which is why so many of them sign during the spring signing period. JC players normally have just 2 seasons of eligibility and can't wait around to get playing time. USF should be attractive to JC players and 1 year transfers. Don't be surprised if CBG can put together a complete team.

I don't want much for now, other than a full team. We haven't had a full bench in years.

Absolutely. I'm just saying, there are plenty of schools out there that can offer immediate playing time to a JC transfer AND the chance to win 8+ games.

This is when we need to lean heavily on the weather and Publix ... but the bastards at Publix keep expanding into new states severely cutting down on our edge here.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
