Hopefully he fills a role next year. Gonzalez will need to redshirt because of his injury most likely.

He's from Louisiana, so I don't know why he would want to come here. La Tech has a better shot of landing him than we do.

Well I'd normally agree with you, if it wasn't for this tidbit in the article:

 

"As for a destination, the Louisiana native mentioned Kansas State and USF as possibilities."
