I remember Paxton Lynch lighting up the central Florida all star game and wondering why USF wouldn't take a look at him. Skip Holtz flamed out recruiting quarterbacks and running backs. It shows now. Hope he enjoyed the golfing.

USF was supposed to offer Paxton Lynch over that summer but passed on him and went for Mike White.  Only after the all star game did Lynch get an offer from an FBS program in Florida and that was UCF, not USF.  So, Paxton Lynch went with Memphis who had been on him since the time USF had been since they never wavered.  USF would have Lynch at QB had USF not ignored him and not offered after saying they would.  Anyone who can look at White and Lynch and not see the stark disparity in athletic ability really should get their eyesight checked. So there you go, besides being a horrible game day coach, Taggart is also a miserable judge of talent.  Does that explain what happened?

he redshirted at memphis in 2012 when taggart was at Western kentucky

Yep, my bad.  It was Holtz who passed on Lynch but for who?

Tommy Eveld maybe? Holtz loved his catholic school walk-ons

That must be it.  I looked at Rivals and not a QB in the entire class of commits.  Holtz knew he needed a QB and got zip, nada, in that year.  He must have been too busy scheduling his golf tournaments to worry about recruiting a QB.

What good is talent if you mismanage it?

Youran like playing Flowers and the roulette wheel with QB's? Or many of the other bone headed decisions?

It wasn't that long ago that Skip Holtz was mismanaging the clock, kicking field goals when we were 3 scores behind, and recruited one of the worst offenses I've ever seen. Taggart looks sloppy, but I can't say skippy was any better.
