The mental conditioning was what I was hoping to see this year as an improvement, not necessarily the W/L numbers. The mental evolution from last year to this one is measurable, but it's I'd hoped it would be less like a meter and more like a kilometer. Guess I'll take what I can get, but I still feel let down.

It's not the losses, it's just the way we look on the field. It's almost exactly the same as last year. To the naked eye, I don't see any improvement.

The wins and losses don't bother me as much as they way we've won and lost.

Not sure if SRS.

There has been no measurable mental improvement, other than fewer false starts.

We're still not opening holes, protecting the passer, pressing receivers, or tackling ball carriers

It feels like we are worse this year. The defense took a giant step backwards, and the offense no longer has multiple pre snap penalties per game to use as an excuse.

Very SRS. Last year we could count on stupid penalties & mistakes. This year we've had some better discipline. I didn't say the improvement was huge (said the opposite), just that it's there and noticeable IMO. Consistency would help...a lot.

The thing that gets me the most is the total inconsistency of this team, and I blame that on mentality of the players. I truly believe that if the second play Friday night had been a catch and not an interception, leading to a quick touchdown, the game might have gone differently. But absolutely nothing went right, and the refs sure as hell weren't doing us any favors either. That really deflates the team, and especially MW. We had two huge shifts in momentum (The strip and the first touchdown) which we literally immediately blew (A fumble right after the strip, on their 12 yd line and giving up a huge run the first play after the touchdown) which really knocked em down. This team has shown that they CAN bounce back after being down, but Friday night proved that that wont always be the case.

REGARDLESS, those fumbles were absolutely unacceptable. CWT needs to keep anybody who might take a snap during a game for an extra hour after after practice just to learn how to catch a **** ball..

With that being, said....Go Bulls!!!!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
