What would really screw things up is if FSU gets in, the SEC gets two, and Notre Dame makes it.  That would leave the PAC12, the Big Ten, and the Big 12 out of it.

there would be 3 sec teams today(oct 27) if playoff were today     that sec is some conference

No they wouldn't.  There is no way the selection committee is going to select 3 SEC teams whether they deserve it or not.

the only way this playoff will work is if the committee gets it right

 

if the sec gets screwed to the extend you suggest  the sec  will stop the playoff next year

 

college football needs the sec

 

you dont screw the sec

You'd start hearing some serious talk about expanding to 8 immediately in that case ...

 

Mississippi State, undefeated or not at this point, shouldn't even be in the conversation with their weak ass ooc scheduling. Hopefully they'll get knocked off somewhere along the line ...

Mississippi State, undefeated or not at this point, shouldn't even be in the conversation with their weak ass ooc scheduling. Hopefully they'll get knocked off somewhere along the line ...

 

 

It will go to eight soon enough.  What I would like to see is eight, with the five P5 champs, the highest ranked G5 champ, and two at large.  That would lead the least amount of complaining.

Works for me.

 

Hope that scenario plays out. Would LOVE to see B10, B12 and P12 all left out. The howling would be deafening.
