Funny thing is the only way it appeared he could come here was when Canty decommited ..

We don't want this guy anyway...he's a quitter (sarc...too soon?).

Disappointing, but good to have a schollie available in case an op arises.

Not too soon .... too late ... way too late. And reportedly, the 2015 basketball recruiting class will be the best in the history of college hoops so it will be advantageous to have another schollie in pocket.

This.

Granted, we needed some help very badly when the rats jumped the ship, but it seemed like we were getting short-term help at the expense of long-term shot at excellence. I'm kinda releived we're down 1 scholly at the moment. I think that gives us four for next year.

My line of thinking exactly. I mentioned such with in the Montero thread, great minds lol.

Could give us a nice boost in the class to come.

We shall see. Still way too early to make a judgement either way. Give him a couple of years. He has landed a couple of promising recruits.

One thing I am sure he is finding is that it is tougher to close the deal on the best players at USF than it was at his previous employer.

Heath was criticized, at times, for trying to recruit too high a caliber player that we didn't necessarily have a realistic shot at. The criticism was that he was wasting time that could be spent on the upper mid tier player that would come to USF.

Let's hope Coach O can maintain the top recruiter reputation in the coming years.
