USF Hosts Military Appreciation Day Free tickets and discounted concession items to be distributed
 
TAMPA, FEB. 24, 2014 – It will be Military Appreciation Day at the Sun Dome when USF hosts UConn in men’s basketball on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
 
In addition to 300 tickets that have distributed to MacDill Air Force Base, anyone with a current or retired military ID will get two free tickets, while supplies last. Once inside, show your military ID to purchase discounted concession items such as $1 hot dogs, soda and popcorn.
 
Halftime will feature a presentation of TSgt Marquese Hayden’s family. TSgt Hayden, a 15-year veteran, was recently deployed to Kuwait and USF will honor his family for their commitment in such a difficult time.
 
Fans may purchase tickets online or by calling 1-800-GO-BULLS.

Why would we honor our military on a night with a 99% chance of defeat? Interesting marketing choice.

 

Against UConn we should honor Underdog Night or some such. Everyone in a dog costume gets in free

Dunno. Must be the same reason that Louisville was homecoming. I just hope our poor vets don't get PTSD after watching this massacre.

What if you know attendance is going to be weak, but you - as our undaunted leader often opines - "Do Something" that you think might nudge the attendanceometer just a wee bit? Didn't we do some military appreciation thing a few years back at one of our IAA warm-up games? For some reason I have that in my head,
