There were tweets that Mercurius was going to open his recruitment back up less then 48hrs ago, but that proved not to be true as we found out. What I do know is this is a very smart move by Coach O. Not many think much of the kid and maybe that proves to be right. However this is a win-win for Coach O and USF. You're not expecting much from Mercurius to begin with, so anything he gives you just helps the team. Secondly and more important he's a product of Kenny Gillion at First Baptist, who carries a lot of weight and produces a lot of talent in the state of Florida. Being the great recruiter he is, Coach O knows one of the things that helps you in recruiting is catering a little to the local HS and AAU coaches.

If Mercurius doesn't produce at this level then no harm and everybody walks away happy. With the guard development and system USF now has, if a guard has it in him, USF will get it out of them.

Dinero Mercurius just informed me that he has signed his LOI with #USF - He joins Oldsmar (Fla.) Christian G, Troy Holston.
 

I've been told that an official announcement from #USF on Dinero Mercurius signing with Bulls could possibly be later on today. Stay tuned.
