Yea bc you can def say those McNeese State picks were the same as when we are down 14-21pts with 2 mins remaining and White and our offense are in desperation mode. That's a terrible comparison. terrible comparison because you don't agree. A bad read is a bad read no matter who are playing. I hope Mr White blows up this year in a good way but until then let's not act like he is way better than the qb transferring. I'm not bashing Floyd, and wish him well. But White has more success in his FIRST HALF of football than Floyd had in 3 years. That's just a fact.

And then folks wonder why we can't have nice things...

It was 2 picks in a half against a team that shouldn't even belong in the same conversation as USF. Floyd had never shown any sign that he could be a decent quarterback for us. White was a freshman and has actually earned the right to make a couple mistakes and get a chance to redeem himself. I will give Floyd credit for handling the aftermath as a professional and nobody actually hoped that he transferred but I definitely am not grieving over it. USF was hardly the only team that lost to an FCS team this season. There were 8 wins of FCS over FBS teams in one weekend alone last season. There is more talent coming out of high schools than can be picked up by 120 schools. There are more than 120 great HCs in America. The only difference in the divisions is fewer scholarships. This is a trend that's expected to grow. So yeah, at first glance horrific loss. But checking the facts, its becoming more common.

I hope he has success elsewhere.

So in 2013 the trend continued. http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2013/05/07/in-fcs-huddle-fcs-vs-fbs-matchups/

Two of FCS victories were over Georgia State, a Sun Belt team in its third year of football. Among the other FBS teams losing to FCS teams were South Alabama (Sun Belt), South Florida (on the bottom of the new American Athletic Conference), San Diego State (Mountain West) and Connecticut (like South Florida, also winless in the AAC). The combined records of the FBS teams defeated this season by FCS teams is 4-20, and two teams, Oregon State and Kansas State, have two victories each. The other seven FBS teams have yet to win a game. None of the 10 FCS victories has approached the gold standard in such meetings, the 2007 game in which Appalachian State defeated No. 5 Michigan. http://jacksonville.com/opinion/blog/578859/garry-smits/2013-09-17/little-perspective-fcs-upsets-fbs-teams

Losing to an FCS may be a trend that's expected to grow but it remains to be seen if an FCS team royally kicking the ass of an FBS team will be .... at first, second, third, to infinity, glance, it WAS an horrific loss.
