Sad (almost pathetic) if someone chooses a school over another (especially after committing) based on anonymous tweets and Twitter followers

I won't pander to a 20 year old dude begging for attention.

 

!st, the kid is prolly 17. 2ndly his need for attn may be an indicator of things he was deprived of growing up. 3rd, judging  someone based on 140 characters is the anathema of everything you guys have been ranting about.

 

I have coached a lot of kids over the years and it's always a mixed bag. Some need different levels of attn and different motivation than others. Some of the best athletes that ever played for me were head cases coming in the door. They were teachable though and over tim took on team leadership roles and excelled in responding to coaching. Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water.

 

I hardly think giving a kid the benefit of the doubt is pandering. In fact, I think working with a kid that needs that attention is commendable.

A 17 year old JUCO transfer?  Kid must be a genius.  I stand corrected.  Also, I'm not judging the guy by the content of his Twitter...I've never even seen it.

 

I'm all for working with these guys.  What I said was, I'm not going on Twitter to "show some love".  I just can't be part of some frenzy to see who can Twitter bomb some guy in hopes it'll sway him.  But...if that's your thing (and clearly it's yours...not knocking you, just stating the obvious), that's cool, too.  Just my personal choice.

tHIS IS NEW. lOSING A FLIP TO sm. mORE TO THIS THAN MEETS THE Eye. Not a huge loss, makes me think we have big things coming (i.e.. Black, Jackson...) Remember this kid had to leave UGA and go JUCO already, maybe grades/scores weren't shaking out. He got Holmanated...
