Great to have him aboard. Kid is a bull through and through. Constantly tweets about USF and how excited he is to be playing here.

If she shoots anywhere near as good as he did in HS, he will start immediately.

This gets me excited. We have a YOUNG team minus Rudd and Brock.

Just great news...although the Crystal ball is still cloudy, on paper he fills possibly the only glaring hole next year.

If he's as good as we hope he is at shooting, he certainly fills that hole. The other hole is depth at the 4/5 poisition; just need another able body behind Perry and Big John (Jordan OMG just isn't capable of stepping in if these guys get into foul trouble).

100% agree. Also a little concerned about the SF position for next season too. Who do we have to replace Rudd? Byron Zeigler may or may not redshirt but he needs to gain weight and strength to play effectively at this level. Don't know if Hawkins will be back if his playing time isn't to his liking and if he doesn't improve throughout the season, he's not just going to be giving PT by Stan.

Now the dilemma for Heath is does he sign another guy this spring if no one transfers out.  He has two scholarships to use if he chooses, but there's the very loaded 2015 class that Heath wants and very much needs to hit a Homerun on. Stan intentionally didn't want to sign another player for 2014 because he wants at least 5 scholarships for 2015 that he put in a lot of work with.

If I had to guess, we will see another athletic big signed this coming spring which shouldn't have a effect on the 2015 class. Maybe we can stumble into a late blooming Big out of HS or JC.

Justin Young â€@JustinDYoung

#USF signee @HoopTillDeath23 should be an early starter for Bulls. I think he's a no-brainer top 75 guy nationally.

Just IMHO - Hawkins will get more PT this year if Heath is smart.  He has put in the time and worked hard in the off-season.  Has the right attitude and wants to get better.  If Heath doesn't give him the time and doesn't show him he has a bright future at USF then it may come back to bite Heath.

Welcome to USF, Mr. Holston.

Based on his video, I fully expect him to earn a starting spot as a frosh. The man can shoot! Exciting times, indeed.

Go Bulls!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
