If Bortles is mediocre then someone hand me a thesaurus as I can't describe it our qb play.

Exactly !

Bortles is a solid QB; he will play at the next level as a backup, but a very solid NCAA QB

UCF has a good team this year, those kids played their hearts out against UL; you cannot take that away from them

Their fan base may get annoying, but the players handled their business on the field and no one can take that away from them

+1.  Class post man.  This bickering with all the UCF fans got old quick

Lot of good points here.

It's obvious that Bortles is better than any QB we have on our roster at the current time.

That said, you're telling me that Shaw, Davis, and Tice can't be better than Johnson and Stanback? You dang well bet they can. It's going to come down to efficient QB play once again, whether it's Bench or Eveld under center. Our team is predisposed to running for a lot of yards, simply because of how much we run the ball. This game is going to come down to keeping L'Ville off the field. If we aren't dominating time of possession, we aren't winning this game.

As of right now, we don't have a RB on the roster that is close to Storm Johnson.  That dude made moves that no RB on the roster can make.  There were times the play was supposed to go left or right and he went all the way back across the field and turned it into positive yardage.

Storm's a beast, there's no denying it. But Shaw is every bit as mobile and can burst even better IMO...when he's healthy. Tice is also very mobile and has good vision for a freshman, and Davis may be the real deal too. Still, I'd give up having parity at RB for a high-quality QB. If they don't respect our passing game, they'll shut down our run game.
