Are the folks in favor of booing college kids around the same age (by the way they are never referred to as college adults)?

I just can't see myself booing a 17-23 year old kid player for his performance on the field. It might be an age/maturity issue.

I'm sure these same sympathies carry over to the Justin Biebers of the world? Or do we understand booing 19 years olds as long as they aren't in college? Usf charges a premium for a service and asks for investment from the fans/alumni; those that boo are expressing their displeasure for what is being offered and I believe more constructively than those that didn't show up or continued to pour out of the stadium in mass. Soon booing won't be an issue at all there were 22k butts in seats and less than 2k in the final minutes; the death nail is being driven into our program, I wouldn't worry about sounds we hear as it happens.
You would believe wrong ... There's nothing "constructive" about booing players/coaches. You do it to make yourself better because you feel the team let you down personally ... which is pathetic.
I believe it's universally done to show displeasure with preformance; only on this board does it seem to take on a deeper meaning. When good things happen fans cheer when displeasurable things happen fans boo; nothing more nothing less than a trained response and social norm.

Okay, as an initial response to a bad play, I'll give that to you .... but don't kid yourself that it's constructive ... and the booing of players/coaches while on the bench or entering/leaving the stadium is still pathetic ... IMO.

I never claimed that it was constructive; just more constructive than not showing up or leaving. Being at the stadium brings money to the the program and allows there to be an opportunity for for cheering and fan support should it be merited. It's closer to the desired behavior and why i feel it's more constructive than the afore mentioned remedies that fans have for expressing their displeasure. Unfortunately the point soon will be moot as the apathy continues to spread it wont be long before we will be longing for the days when there was anyone there to boo; every cloud does have a silver lining however because at least we will be able to use the soccer stadium as an on campus stadium which of course does not meet 1-a standards but given our downward spiral post cjl a move down would seem in order anyway. Yay team!!!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
