Patriots waived TE Evan Landi.

Landi, an undrafted rookie out of South Florida, was just a camp body. Zach Sudfeld, Daniel Fells, Michael Hoomanawanui and Jake Ballard are locked in as the Pats' top-four tight ends until Rob Gronkowski (back) returns.

He was always a stretch for the NFL. Now if his speed & agility were a little better...

Still too bad, the guy makes a great conversion receiver.

Selvie survived today's cuts by the Cowboys, rightfully so.

I only saw him out there when the debacle known as Tebow was in at QB...

We definitely took some cuts yesterday, with (expected) Carlton Mitchell cut from the Bucs, & George Baker from Titans. Confirmed cuts of Bonani, Landi, & Estenor but it looks like the rest of our guys are hanging in for now!

Figured I'd run through my thoughts on our surviving players, most of whom will have important games tomorrow.

Nate Allen - At this time it looks like he will hold onto it is starting job with the Eagles.

Sam Barrington - Firmly on the roster bubble for the Packers. It will likely get a lot of time in this last game, so racking up the tackles would be a nice step for him. If he makes the team, I expect him to see action on special-teams mainly.

B.J. Daniels - Would be shocked at this point if he does not make San Francisco as the third quarterback. Excited to see him play tomorrow as well.

Cory Grissom - Placed on IR by the patriots, so he won't play this season, but he gets a paycheck and time in their system. We'll see if he can catch on next year.

Mike Jenkins - Seems like he'll be a clear starter for the Raiders.

Terrell McClain - Had a great first couple games for Houston, but was relatively invisible last week against the Saints. I would guess he makes the team, but a few good plays would greatly benefit him.

Tyrone McKenzie - Minnesota really just uses him as a special-teams ace at this point, you don't see him on defense much. Seems like he'll make the roster.

Jerome Murphy - He was with Washington for a decent amount of time last year despite not playing much. I find it hard to see him making the team, but it's possible.

Stephen Nicholas - Starter in Atlanta.

Jason Pierre-Paul - He's still in doubt for week one last I heard.

Mistral Raymond - Seems safe. Probably the backup SS. He and McKenzie will play together on special teams a lot.

George Selvie - Seems in good shape since he's been taking Anthony Spencer's starting spot in preseason. If he can make a big play Thursday, he's got a spot.

Jeremiah Warren - Unlikely to make the Saints, but possible practice squad candidate.

Kayvon Webster - Denver isn't going to cut him.

Jacquian Williams - Thought after his rookie year he'd be a big impact player for the Giants. He hasn't taken that step yet but be shocked if he didn't make the team.

Kion Wilson - Think he's a longshot to make Pittsburgh but he should get on the field a lot tomorrow.

Odds are we'll probably have 11 safe on active rosters come final cuts.

Barrington with 5 tackles and a sack tonight so far. Bodes well for him.

So, will Bonani get picked up somewhere else? One of our kickers has MRSA.
