I have to see how the holes on Defense get filled in before making a predition on wins but UCF's QB Bortles is the most talented QB GOL has had at UCF. If he continues to develop he will be the best QB after Bridgewater in the conference this season.

 No.

Then who else is there in the AAC? Do you even follow the other AAC schools? Bortles is easily #2 in the AAC and probably the best QB in FL, this year. That's until we see what that super freshman at FSU does.

 

It's going to take more than just a decent QB who hasn't played BCS-level competition with regularity to get you guys to a season worth talking about, as ambien said.  Before we start talking about who's #2 QB in the conference, we should let some games play out, yes?

Absolutely we are competing with UCF now, for a conference championship, along with SMU, Houston, ECU, et al. They are definitely a rival in that context ... but you're trying to pass this off as Auburn/Alabama.

 

 

 

Of course it isn't Auburn/Alabama.  But to say it is no different than SMU is ridiculous.

 

 

There's a happy medium in there somewhere ...

Athlon's newest ranking has USF and UCF neck and neck middle of the pack with 7-5 (5-3) records with UCF winning the game between the two (since they have the higher rank).

Rutgers and UCF round out the top four in Athlon’s projected American Athletic Conference standings for 2013. The Scarlet Knights suffered some key personnel losses on defense, and need to get quarterback Gary Nova back on track after a disappointing finish to the season. The Knights could surprise this year, especially if the defense fills a few key voids in the front seven.

 

Behind new coach Willie Taggart, South Florida should be one of the most-improved teams in college football. The Bulls have an All-American caliber defensive end in Aaron Lynch, along with a transfer quarterback in Steven Bench to bolster the roster for 2013. The Bulls should benefit from a weak bottom of the league to get bowl eligible this year.

Blake has made huge strides...  and I realize that very few have seen him play. And, I realizen there are no bad highlite videos....

 

Vs. Mizou 

 

 

He carved up Ball St like  a soft turkey...maybe his best College Game to date. 

 

 

If he takes another step up this year, his senior  year will be .....well who knows.

He also looked abysmal in both games against defensive powerhouse Tulsa.
 
The defensive powerhouse part was sarcasm, just so we're clear.
