HOUSTON GAME SET AT RELIANT STADIUM

Finally made my arrangements so I can be there.  Haven't been to Houston in a while and looking forward to seeing Reliant Stadium.  My last sports outing there was in the Astrodome and **** Allen hit two homers for the Phillies against the 'Stros (so that tells you it has been looonggg time ago) .  Now if we can just get their QB to dress up as Matt Schaub for Halloween we may be able to score a few in this game.

With the stars blanking out his first name I am assuming you are talking about Richie Allen. He was a beast. Came up the same year as the Giants Jim Ray Hart. They battled for ROY award. Allen used to write words in the dirt at Connie Mack while playing first base wearing his helmet. What a character.

So me and the wifey picked this game for our yearly USF themed road trip...with it being held at the Texans stadium how far is it from the Space Center?

We want to go there and the Aquarium and maybe a few other places if time permits! Any other suggestions?

Reliant is about 1/2 an hour from NASA. The Aquarium about 15 min, but it's not that special although does have white tigers if you have never seen one in person.

 

Other suggestion is Rockets game either Wed or Fri. Texans play SNF vs Colts if still in town. 

 

If you have Rented a Car and in town until Sun, maybe drive to Austin (2 hours) for UT Kansas game

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up....we are driving from Fl. So we have the ability to head anywhere that week. I would go to a terrible Big 12 game if we were in Big 12, but since we arent no Charle Weis for us lol. I prob will check out a Rockets game so i can taunt Slight Howard haha

Are you renting a car?  Probably the best way.  Also depends on which airport.  Reliant, if I remember correctly is on the south side of town.  Hobby Int'l is closer than the other which used to be Bush, not sure if it is still called that.

i'm flying back from mexico city on that thurs and can do a stopover in houston. I don't want to rent a car.

Lethal Weapon from the Board knows more about the area.  Believe he lives/lived there.  Do you know which airport you are/would be flying in to?

Will be headed out soon.  Trip plans are easy:

 

1.  Meet with Houston-area alums and supporters;.

 

2.  Eat my weight in bbq and steaks;

 

3.  Celebrate Halloween with a flaming bag of poo on Houston's doorstep; and

 

4.  Return to Tampa with another conference win.

Mexico City you'll fly into IAH. Hobby is mainly just southwest flights and only domestic. Even team flew into hobby
