Not sure but signin a extention/pay raise  could be a budget issue...Until the new contract is signed the old amount would be on the books.

 

Also given the Fiasco with Skippy waiting is safer for DW with the team winning (No Risk).

 

I'm pretty secure in my belief Jose has secure roots here...

 

and finally "MONEY" is not everything to all coaches.  There is also a quality of life issue and local recognition.

 

Not everyone wants to be a Big Fish in a Big Pond.  The Tampa bay area has a great quality of life..

That was from the "Bliders" group. They think of nothing but firing..since that the only words they know.

He and Prado are friends. You woulda thunk that Prado's extension would have included a clause for Jose to get one.

Bet Jose's new contract includes larger bonuses for achievements as our wonderful atheletic director negotiated himself a dynamic extention to reiceve a matching  bonus to what coaches achieve

In all seriousness, I wonder if it is a conflict of interest for our AD to be involved in contract negotiations with any of our coaches. Unless the new contract has $0 in bonuses, then I would think he would have to recuse himself.
