My last thought on this topic......... How many people have left USF Athletics during the reign of terror under Doug the Terrible? Supposedly, he has sapped the spirit and life out of many people in the department. In addition, the pay is garbage compared to other schools similar to USF ( well except his). Those two ingredients lead to a very toxic athletic environment.

I agree with Mike. After the extended contracts for the now gone Holtz and the underachieving Heath, a coach as good as Jose should not have been made to wait this long for a contract. Woolard is a fool and just continues to make himself look less and less as a capable Athletic Director. Oh the inhumanity of it all!!!

Rumor circulating around the Women's Basketball world is that Jose Fernandez will be looking at the University of Pittsburgh's opening. Supposedly, he was contacted while in New Orleans. Is DW willing to let one of the most successful coaches leave? Why hasn't he been offered a contract yet?

Is Woolard out of his mind!!!!! Let me rephrase that since we know that answer. Why has Woolard waited so long to resign Jose to a long term contract? He did it for Holtz because BIG TIME schools were after him???? He did it for Heath, who has had modest success (being kind)???? But not, Jose who has been to a post season numerous times. I understand it is women's basketball so not a priority and does not generate the financial flow the other sports should. But, Jose is one of the few coaches who wins year in and year out and has been grossly underpaid compared to others in his sport. Woolard's coaching hires have been outstanding ( tongue in cheek) and to let Jose find greener $$$$ pasture somewhere else would be a shame. I bet if one looks up the word incompetence in the dictionary there would be a picture of DW... just saying

Why don't you man up and tell Jose you are firejosefernandez. No, you won't do that though because you are a coward. It is easy to talk crap from behind a computer screen. I think I know who you are and why you are writing this crap. Shall i post for all to see? And if you read back at my messages, you should be able to figure out that I DO KNOW. Go away quietly or be exposed!!! Your call! Perhaps, instead of writing this stuff go to an AA meeting.

Well, call him! Since, he doesn't know who you are. So. now you know he has lost his passion. How do you know that? Do you go to practices? Have you been out recruiting with him? Please tell. Your observation would be like a middle school student going home and telling their parents that their teacher isn't preparing them.

Wow, you won't let it die! So, your daughter scrimmages with the team in open gym ( I doubt it). You are close enough to his colleagues to know what they think (unlikely). I have to believe that there is more to this than just a fan's reaction. This is a personal vendetta. What did Jose do to you that has made you so upset to want to have him fired? How can you be so callous to want someone to lose their livelihood? Instead of hiding behind a computer screen and firing off meaningless false statements why not SCHEDULE a meeting with him at the Bungalow Bistro in Seminole Heights.

It is hard to compete with a Georgetown educational opportunity. It looks like Faith has moved on. I am sure the USF coaches will move on like most mature individuals do. I guess the firejosefernandez poster will have some real sterling material to write about now.
